The two best things about this bed & breakfast are the charm of the building and Sandra, the hostess who cheerfully took care of everything we needed and significally added to the enjoyment of our stay. We also liked the location of the place-- on a pretty, tree-lined street within walking distance to town center. If anything it was that you could hear the person preparing breakfast very early in the AM walking in the kitchen above our room. Given our jet lag, it woke me up. The problem can be easily remidied by putting down a mat or having the person wear soft shoes. |

Nice location, 10 minutes from Princes Street. Very nice hotel with large rooms, with a quiet neighbourhood. The room was a bit dark because of the trees just in front of the window. Although the towels were changed everyday, the room was not vacuumed during the whole stay. |

the staff were friendly and helpfull the location was quite central to all of edinburghs attractions towel rail leaked in ensuite shower room and there were 2 light bulbs not working in there. Didnt have the choice of a bath which when you have just completed a marathon would have been nice. |

The staff was very helpful and gave us a hand on various personal issues. Great family room - spacious and with nice setting. The hotel is situated very close to a train station - one stop away only from the main railway station. But the tickets are expensive just to commute to the city. Walking distance for fit people and/or without kids ! N/A |

We wanted a relatively-central, basic, medium price hotel and that's what we got. As there was no lift, we found it relatively arduous climbing the stairs to our room at the top of the house. |

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and bath were large and spacious. Further from attractions than represented. It's a good long walk. The building is kept very very warm, too warm for my taste, may suit others. Breakfast was only fair. |

The staff were lovely. It was very convenient for going to Murrayfield for the Heineken Cup Final. It was very old fashioned, it could do with an upgrade. The continental breakfast was of poor quality. |

The hotel is a very cute hotel in Edinburgh. Its close to the city centre and therefore you can walk everywhere(train station, castle, Prices Streat etc.). he rooms are cute and although we took the "small double room i felt like we had a lot of space).I can recommend staying there! |
