The staff were absolutely brilliant - very friendly, attentive and efficient. Services offered by the hotel were superb - 2 pools, tennis courts, squash courts, bike hire...perfect if you're active! I loved the Terrace Bar overlooking the cricket pitch and with the ponies grazing nearby - perfect for enjoying an early evening cocktail! There was a lack of vegetarian options in the restaurant - only one each night so we didn't end up eating there which was a shame because it seemed really nice. If they could become more veggie friendly that would make it perfect. |

Its location for walking in the New forest and the surrounding area. The staff were lovely and the breakfast great. The Spa facilities were too small for the number of people that were using them, It was too crowded when I tried on teh saturday afternoon and left disappointed. |

Excellent location for cyling/walking with v easy access to the New Forest, also local shops & restaurants only 10 mins walk. Hotel was relaxed with a good bar, food service, friendly staff & a good atmosphere. Afew items in the room (toilet roll holder, shelf & towels) looked v tatty & tired. Didn't have a particulary good view from the room window (hotel roof !). Also needs better provisions for storage for guests who bring their own bikes. |

As the hotel was in the new forest, i expected a better view from the window. Our window looked out onto a brick wall. The room was comfortable but very small. |

The initial reception was excellent and friendly. The staff were very attentive and polite and the cleanliness of the hotel was beyond reproach. It has been the best experience of staying in a UK hotel and would recommend it. They should be congratulated on such a lovely service provided. The dinner is also superb in their restaurant. |

The helpfulness of the staff - they could not do enough for us. They changed our original booked room to one much more convenient for a wheelchair user at no extra charge - much appreciated. Because my husband uses a wheelchair we did find that some entrances were not as flat or as easy to manage as we would have liked. |

Overpriced, dull and gloomy decor, tatty furniture. We only chose this hotel as were going to be attending a wedding there at 2pm. On our original booking we requested to use our rooms before the usual check in time as we would be attending a wedding there and needed to change. We were eventually given a room at 1pm but no plans had been made for the wedding guests to have their rooms early. |
