Convenient quiet location. Good value for money. Free wifi was a bonus. Everything I needed for a one night stay. The breakfast was ok but the sausages and bacon were not great.

The staff were excellent, efficient, friendly and unfailingly helpful. Breakfast was first-class and the breakfast room very attractive. The price was extremely good value. The single room I had suffered from a problem not unknown in older seaside hotels: by the time the en suite had been created, neither bedroom nor bathroom was big enough. I don't think this is a general problem, however.

The staff were excellent and could not be faulted. The room was comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities plus freeview tv. Breakfast was buffet with food for all tastes and excellent. It is also within a short walking distance of the town shops, pubs etc; All in all for us an ideal place for a short break. No reflection on the hotel at all but if you want to view the actual sea Southport is not ideal, when we were there binoculars were need to see the waves !

Staff helpful, room with garden, great for the dog. Quiet and comfortable. The bathroom really needs to be looked at, it was looking its age. My wife could have done with a couple more coffee packets.

I had a great welcome, and the owners were very friendly/chatty. The room was comfortable and had lots of character. Each room is themed around a different flower; mine was bluebell and it was lovely. There is nothing to complain about. Everything was good and excellent value for money.

It was clean and comfortable in a nice quiet location. The fact that the manager had went into our room without our permission, saying we had said we had no water when we hadn't spoken to any member of staff about this.

Cleanliness. Bathroom decor appalling with mounds of mastic badly applied harbouring dirt. Drinks tray & kettle dirty.Bacon appeared steamed for breakfast(not fried). Central heating switched off in evening even though very cold weather. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Very friendly staff. Stayed in a garden room which was lovely just a shame the weather was so cold so we couldn't take advantage of it. Nothing we didn't like except would prefer a pot of tea/coffee made from a boiled kettle instead of the machine.

Friendly staff, very clean and the garden room that we stayed in was excellent. All this and the fact that there was on site parking and all amenities were within walking distance was very good. Although the breakfast was plentiful, I would have preferred a cooked breakfast served rather than self-service, though I realise that this might be difficult when there are a lot of guests.

The room was a good size and well equipped - apart from plastic cups! why have a mini bar and no glasses?. We had a garden room and the outside deck was lovely. The staff were very friendly. It was a short walk to Lord street, and from there to the marine drive, promenade etc.Everywhere was very clean. Really good hotel for the price, but... The bathroom was badly in need of a refurb - though it was spotlessly clean, and therefore useable. I really didn't enjoy the breakfast, the bacon and sausages were insipid. The freshly cooked eggs were great though! Would still recommend, but with these reservations! Take your own tea bags!!

The friendly and welcoming staff,we have stayed at this hotel in the past and have always found the staff have time to speak with you. Food and coffee at breakfast are excellent and plentiful. Stay in the garden rooms at the back, lovely and quiet and back on to a garden with patio area where you can sit out and enjoy a morning cuppa... Very close to the town and the area of Lord Street for shops, bars and restaurants. We visit Southport on a regular basis and wouldn't look for anywhere else to stay,an excellent place to visit. There is nothing that we didn't like about this hotel.
