Good mix of traditional features and modern facilities. Lovely comfortable lounge, and excellent breakfast.
Just lacked a woodburner.
Proximity to town centre, fantastic breakfast, tastefully decorated, quiet.
Tay suite was perfect for our New Years break :)
we enjoyed all aspects of this lovely old victorian property , it had lots of original features and was very well kept , it actually surpassed our expectations for the low price . the staff were very pleasant and helpful . the breakfast selection was excellent and after eating it we were so full we couldn't eat anything until evening.we can fully recommend this hotel and wish the owners many happy years there
The owners were very accommodating with letting us check in early. Room and view were lovely and breakfast was delish!
Excellent service, warm hospitality, lovely location, delicious food.
Only one thing - bed was too hard.
Nice spacious room , although only one chair , which was odd. Comfortable bed, and generous breakfast . Excellent guest lounge .
A few personal touches ,ie tissues in the room ,cotton wool pads, etc would be nice . The place was lovely but a little bare and impersonal. We ordered pancakes for breakfast , but we got crepes , which is not the same thing !
The owners and staff were very welcoming and courteous. Breakfast was perfect.
Everything..atmosphere....facilities....hosts..proximity to dining..
ambience: quiet, warm, clean, comfortable, welcoming, style, situation and superb breakfast!
I would have preferred a firmer bed. (you did ask!)
The owner attitude
We liked everythjng about Balnearn House the comfortable bed, the pleasant lounge for relaxing in the evening, the delicious breakfast and the warm welcome.
Balnearn house was a really lovely place to stay. Rooms were clean, fresh, comfortable and cozy. We didn't meet Claire but we did meet Mark the owner who was very welcoming and friendly. Having a lounge we could use was really lovely. It was well stocked with tourist info and books and beautiful comfy leather couches and chairs AND a very pretty wooden chess set. The breakfast was one of the nicest we have had! All the usual options plus some yummy alternatives. Even nice hot plates! We particularly like the fact all the food was locally sourced where possible. I would highly recommend Balnearn house.
... ... not a whole lot. The sink not being in the actual bathroom was a little odd but it makes sense with a narrow bathroom. The only other complaint we be that we couldn't stay longer!
A quiet street at night but also close to all the amenities
didn't dislike anything really
Excellent accommodation. Room was warm and spotless. Plenty of hot water just what you need after long day hillwalking. Breakfast was also excellent with very good choice. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.
The owners were nice and friendly, and very helpful. Their house is beautiful and we felt like we were their invited guests. They had a lovely library where our little group could sit around before going out to dinner!
Our room had a private bathroom but it was down the hall from our bedroom, somewhat inconvenient! The WiFi in our part of the building was spotty. But these were minor problems!
Beds were good Breakfast was very good
Gracious, friendly, helpful hosts in a beautiful period home in the pretty village of Aberfeldy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend Balnearn House to others.
Nothing to criticise.
Lovely large well decorated room. Excellent breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome and would definately book again if staying in the area
This is a grand house, once a hotel. Very grand and spacious. My single room didn't have the character of the rest of the house as newer addition but spacious and everything you need. Breakfast was excellent. Only a couple of minutes from centre of town and restaurants and pubs.
Mattress was a bit soft and house so large it lost a bit of personal touch you get in B&B.
The welcome upon arrival and good wishes on departure
Too short a stay!
Great food. Staff friendly and helpful. Local entertainment good. Excellent breakfast
always friendly smiling faces morning till night Jimmy and Moira
cant think of anything
This was a very exclusive guest house and cannot fault it in any way. Would recommend it to anyone and hope to go back soon.
No faults at all
Excellent customer service. Nice rooms. Short walk to town centre. Quiet location. Breakfast is good (particularly the porridge). Wi-Fi is useful (as mobile phone coverage isn't good).
