The Baltimore Hotel  

Night porter was really friendly and did what he could to help me. Breakfast was good, and served by a very friendly lady.

Pet hate is to get to a hotel and find out they are undergoing refurbishment. Hotels should say so on the description and charge less. Breakfast only served till 9am and one song on replay all the way through!

The food was excellent, both the Early Bird dinner and the full breakfast.

While it had all I needed, my room was due for renovation.It was clearly in a less well-maintained condition than the entrance or dining room.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was comfortable. Bathroom good and plentiful very hot water. The Breakfast was Excellent. Will definitely stay here again when in Middlesboro'.

Our room decor was tired ( although I understand a refurb' is underway).

My room was a little cold and the bed was too soft for me.

Close to the town

We booked 3 rooms. 1 singel, 1 double an d 1 suite. The suite had a very high standard, bude the other rooms was very small

Noise of late revellers coming back to the hotel. Room close to the stairs continually hearing people up/down the stairs

The food was excellent.!

The rooms were small, very dated & was noisy as we were given the room over the kitchen.! If they gave the hotel a complete cosmetic makeover then I might consider going back there. Felt it was difficult to justify the cost of the room. Would say the accommodation was more worthy of a 2 star rating but food was potentially 4 star rating!!

This Hotel is a little Gem .The Service by ALL staff was outstanding,the place was very clean and I was really impressed with the Food.(Red Hot) and served promptly . My Room was imaculate I really felt at Home and the Free WI-FI was a big bonus.

Could not find Fault.

The location was good. The rooms were spacious. The staff were helpful and courteous. The receptionist was really very helpful under the circumstances of our stay, and advised that she would pass on my concerns. She did show me a couple of rooms that have been refurbished and they were a huge improvement on the room I stayed in.

On arrival at the hotel I needed to make an overseas call and the phone was so old fashioned the receptionist came to my room to put the call through! The room was cold and after making the receptionist aware of this she gave us a further heater for the room and extra bedding. The rooms are in need of a total update, they are spacious and have the potential to be be really lovely with a good interior designer and colour scheme. The telephone system needs updating as does the heating system. The cooked breakfast was very good but granny smith apples and green banannas was the fruit on offer.

Staff friendly and helpful. Menu choices from homely menu to high standard modern menu (but not too fussy or small portions) all excellent as was breakfast. Dinner prices very reasonable for the qualtiy etc. Dinner service relaxed and starts at 6:00 pm so early dining possible. Large car park. All in all a good place to stay when in the area.

The staff were second to none, with GENUINE friendliness, The food was wonderful and the bar was modern but cosy too!

The room could do with updating but i understand that this is ongoing at this time. The location could be better for walking out, however the local transport stops directly outside the hotel and taxis are reasonable and reliable.
