The friendly welcome from Pat and Bill was lovely. The house is set back from the main road, over looking a loch. The view is stunning. Our room had every thing that you may require...tea/coffee making facilities, tv/dvd player with films, toiletries, magazines, full length mirror and dressing table mirrior and even crystal glasses with a small decanter of sherry....and chocolates at the side. Breakfast is superb also with fresh fruit, yougurts cereals and a cooked breakfast to follow. Overall an excellent stay!! Not a thing!

Cleanliness!, Comfortable, the bed was the best we have ever slept in, cosy and warm, lovely big room, shower room was imaculate and the tea tray had every conceivable type of tea/coffee/biscuits you could want. Sherry and chocs provided as well. We felt very special, as though someone had invited us to share their home, which indeed they had, it was personal without being intrusive. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and the dining room setting was superb. Lovely china and place settings. The most perfect place we have ever stayed and will certainly be making a return trip and would recommend it unhesitatingly. An excellent choice and near the ferry for our crossing to Ireland. Just that we couldn't spend longer there!!!!

Delightful accommodation. Very friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. The rooms were immaculate and attention to detail was excellent. The comfort of guests was a clear priority, and the delicious breakfast was no exception. We left feeling quite pampered by our stay there.

Excellent service from Pat, the proprietor, from the courtesy call before we had even left home, to the comfort of our room & our surprise to find we had a decanter of good quality sherry! Then there was the breakfast . . . delicious! Having to leave after 1 night.

The Balyett was a wonderful experience. The hosts could do no more to make your stay nicer. Beautiful clean rooms catering for everything you could wish for and the little items you may forget. The nightcap of sherry and chocolate in your room and the bottle of water. The breakfast was lovely and the location is central to the ferry or for a base for touring. Would hightly recommend

This bed and breakfast is a haven of tranquility and comfort. I was given a most warm welcome and made to feel at home right away. The food was excellent. Pat (owner of B&B) has a detailed knowledge of the area including all of the local services and facilities. I felt very much refreshed and re-vitalised from my stay at this gem of a B&B. I would highly recommend Balyett, where a warm and friendly welcome will await you. David from Cheshire

Ballyet is very convenient to ferry terminals. The owner is very obliging, the rooms are delightful, breakfast was excellent, couldn't ask for anything more. Short drive to Stanraer, also to Portpatrick - a very quaint fishing village.

Everything is fabulous. The owner (Pat) is fantastic and very accommodating, the building and facilities are great, the room very well equipped and the breakfast superb. The b&b property is on a farm between Stranraer and Cairnryan on the Cairnryan Road, so its a little out of town and therefore beautiful and quiet.

An excellent place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble and everything about Balyett was first class.i booked it because it was convenient for the ferry to Ireland but would now consider it for a holiday in that area The proprietor telephoned us to check our arrival time and was waiting for us with the tea and coffee ready and a very warm welcome. Our room was beautifully prepared and there were lots of really nice touches. Definitely one we hope to use again.
