The staff were most attentive and helpful, looking after us at every turn. Our room was full of character even though it was in a new wing. The food provided at breakfast and at our function was first rate.

The hotel had a comfortable bright homely fell to it. The staff were welcoming and friendly. When booking I asked for a quiet room and was glad to see the staff took my request seriously. We had a nice comfortable room plenty of tea/coffee on hand. Breakfast was of a very high standard. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. There was no lift which might prove a problem for some though not for me.

24 hour room service. Very comfortable beds and pillows Having a bath in the bathroom (not just a shower) Spaciousness of rooms Having a key (not a swipe card) This hotel fronts onto a busy road so traffic noise late into the night and early in the morning is a problem for rooms at the front.

The outstanding helpfulness of your reception staff - Lorraine and Lesley - who both went out of their way to help us - my husband is disabled and we found the parking and stairs difficult but they were a great help to us both. No lift - and 40 stairs to our room (130) - 19 up and 21 down!!

I asked for a room not overlooking the road with a bath (online) and that's exactly what I received. Thought the rate was pricey for what was on offer especially as it didn't include breakfast. The room I was in was a good size although noisy - the floor boards of the room upstairs were so squeaky it seemed like the person was in the same room as me!

Very good central location with car parking The bar closed at 10.30pm on Sunday, and those still drinking were turned out. Even on weekdays, the bar closes at 11pm. We had never come across a business hotel that does not cater for residents who want a late-night drink. Also, we thought the breakfast was rather expensive (£13 to £16 I think), but didn't have it so can't comment on the quality. We were looking for somewhere to bring a group of friends later on a weekend break, but will now have to try another hotel as the early bar closing at the Best Western would not go down at all well with the group! A pity, as in other respects it would have been ideal.

Location On check in was told breakfast was included (even though I queried it as I thought it was extra). On check out was told breakfast was excluded so had to pay. Definitely did not like having to toast own bread as this was extremely time-consuming with a part of 6.

Cannot really comment as we arrived very late at night after a day at Cornbury music festival; not entirely sober! And left first thing in the morning feeling somewhat hung over. Everything at the hotel was fine. Room very comfortable,

Long walk to our rooms especally when carrying all cases (r131) Breakfast was good but when we saw that full Engliish was £15 and Continental was £13 we thought it was steep. The last day we avoided breakfast only to discover on paying the bill,. That breakfast was £15 for two people. You check it out on the breakfast menu. Nowhere does it say £15 for two!

Mainly the location to town as we could walk there. Breakfast was far too expensive. We thought £15 was very unreasonable considering you can get a roast dinner in most hotels for £9.95. I'd rather hang on till lunch time at that price!!
