Această fostă bancă este situată pe Royal Mile, în centrul oraşului Edinburgh, şi oferă camere decorate individual, cu un TV cu ecran plat. Princes Street şi gara Edinburgh Waverley sunt la 400 de metri distanţă. Hotelul Bank a fost construit în 1923 şi încă mai păstrează multe caracteristici ale epocii, precum tavane înalte. Camerele sunt dispuse pe 3 etaje, cu acces printr-o scară originală, fiecare fiind numită după o personalitate scoţiană. Marvellous, imaginative idea to devote room style to some famous person/story. -e-g- introduction of anesthesy in medecine :-). We liked it very much. Staff was very friendly. Warm breakfast is available just since 8 a.m. Selection available for cold breakfast was not in line with level of hotel.

Excellent in all aspects. The staff are friendly, the room is very comfortable and it is a room where a famous writer have stayed in. Equipments are very traditional, impressed and comfortable as well.

Hotel staff were very friendly, hotel handy for attractions. The only fault I could give was that the water pressure on my shower seemed a little weak. But that was a very minor thing which you may expect from an old building.

The staff was great, the bar lovely to hang out in. They let us stay and drink after they kicked out the people not staying there. Very laid back, I felt like I was staying at a friend's house. I loved the stairs and the people complaining about them are lazy bums. We stayed in the Alexander Bell room and the theme design was delightful. The room was pretty sexy too with that giant mirror. This hotel is quirky and beautiful and I can't wait to come back! Oh we were there on pub trivia night which was fun too.

No shampoo/wash at bath. Cold tap faulty, Bathroon door would not shut, hot water scalding, mould around bath. Generally shabby, run down appearance. Nothing executive about the room

The location was great and the staff were helpful and friendly Even though the location was fab and you definately pay more for that,I think the £120 a night we paid is too much. The room was very clean but the stairs and corridor were a bit grubby and quite shabby and the room we were in was getting that way too. I don't think you just pay for the room it is the whole experience and apart from the staff I think there needs to be quite a bit of work done to bring the hotel side up to standards.

Location Ridiculous reception at the bar; dirty staircase - no elevator - certainly not for elederly people with heavy bags; very dark room with no light on the desk; dark bathroom, light so dim, you can't see your face while shaving; ridiculously huge bathroom - very uncomfortable< no bathroom items like shampoo no plugs near desk - impossible to charge or plug in your e-accessories; no wi-fi !!!- had to go at night to Raddisson and pay for my internet there; left Bank Hotel for London - didn't stay 2nd night, because it was too much to bear...

Really loved the quirky room - enjoyed lying in bed reading rl Stephenson (selection of his novels provided in my room) overlooked by his portraits and his various letter s and memorabilia in the room. Hotel is a bit noisy. To be fair, noise is a bit unavoidable in this location on teh Royal Mile. I didn't really mind it but older guests might not like being above the bar at weekends.

Excellent location for shopping & sightseeing. Very friendly staff. Recommended car park at Radisson Hotel incurs a full charge of £19.50 a day not the Radisson Hotel resident's charge of £12.50 which we were led to believe when we rang before our stay. Expensive for room only.

The Bank was in a great place for our visit to the tattoo, good live music, brilliant for the Fringe too. We were on the top floor, lots of stairs not the faint hearted!

The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay. Would have liked to have stayed longer. It is a cozy spot! I was on the top floor, which is a trek up the stairs. II was helped with my bag, but it is 3 long flights up. Also, street noise at night is continuous. The area is a popular hang out for late night revelers. I would rebook for a room on a lower floor and use ear plugs.
