Hotel staff were very polite and our stay was pleasant. Only stayed the one night and breakfast was a surprise as for the low price of the room it was included.
Some other customers reviews as they seem unfair. For £50 a night for 3 of us in the one room, I think this great value.
The staff that were on duty that night as we stayed at the Banks Hotel were excellent, they did everything they could to help us out and gave us a lot of advice for Ilford.
Within the details of the hotel it states that the tube station is only a few minutes walk away which isn't entirely true as it was about half an hour walk, so I would be careful if you want to catch the tube. However, the lady on reception did tell us about the train station which was only ten minutes walk from the hotel.
Furniture Cleanliness of the shower No soap on the first day Very noisy on Saturday night
Breakfast was brilliant
the carpets,the rooms,beds,cleanliness,the breakfast too
we had to call too many times for direction but the receptionist didnt once call back to find out if we made our way
a good stay
The room was clean and the 2 young men at the reception desk were pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was great and fresh and the staff were really helpful, but needs to be addressed for vegans. New towels and bar of soap for a 2 night stay?? Very good service, but not cost effective for the owner or for the carbon footprint. No need at all to change the towels or room service for a 2 night stay. However I would expect room service for a 3 night or more stay. I have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and the Travelodge in the UK. You need cards on the door to state if room service is required or not if staying over 3 nights, especially at that low price.
I had 2 sleepless nights which affected my meetings, mood and my drive back to civilization. The door that goes out to the front was banging from 10pm til 3am on Friday and til 5am on Saturday. Your guests talking loudly and then some guests drinking beer at breakfast and shouting like morons. I guess the area attracts people who are ill mannered or ignorant imbeciles. The breakfast should have vege sausages and hash browns at least. Notices on the exit doors should be displayed that guests should use the Main Reception doors after 11pm and to keep quiet or to put super glue 3 on their mouth. I feel so sorry for the residents who have paid thousands to have to put up with sleepless nights and loud unsavoury characters hanging around on their street.
Kitchen staff polite
Unhelpful staff at the reception.
great time with the family,
the rain, not a lot of milk for drinks.
they were really friendly about us being in costume and leaving early and returning late and they held onto our bags on the day we we're leaving cause we had to checkout early so they let us leave our bags until we returned from the comic con
The staffs are friendly. Room very clean. Breakfast good and on time.
The bath for me too small. No intercom (phone).
The shower wc was nice and clean
The size of the room was nothing like what they Show you on the photo
It was always warm in the room due to their good heating system.
They had no suckets in the bathroom, so I could not shave proper nor cut my hair. My wife couldnot use her hair dryer. The shower tap wasn't flowing. I suggest they correct these things. Their tv wasn't a satilite, so my wife could not watch spanish programs on tv. Additionally, their breakfast was the same thing everyday.
Staff very helpful. Very friendly and approachable.
Was not as close to the tube as we thought.
Close to train station
Room was very mouldy Door lock was faulty Breakfast was poor
Ease of check out and the breakfast.
The fact that my booking said £55 but when checked my account, £60 was taken.
Friendly staff and breakfast and comfy beds
That we had to move hotels 3 time's in the space of two days
Cheap, breakfast included every morning
Room was cramped (expected at a cheap price), shower didn't work unless it was scolding hot.
Close to the train
rooms stunk of urine. Not sanitary. Had stink bugs in my room. Old and dirty.
Very good location, nice staff
Couldn't fault the hotel for the great price we paid. Didn't quite make it for breakfast so couldn't comment on that. Would stay again at that price
Banks hotel is near all the facilities that u need, the room was tidy with coffee and tea available, bed was so comfy. Bathroom was in a tidy state, took a while to work out the shower, breakfast was served in a nice pleasant lounge area, and was very tasty, but sorry my only whinge is that there were no hash browns been served, but my stay was enjoyable and I would use this hotel again
The Cleanliness is the best in the Bank hotel.
Drainage system in the toilet and shower from. There should be a hand shower (Perinal Spray) along with the W.C for proper cleaning. Being a Muslim it is difficult to use the toilet paper it does not give a satisfaction.
