It's the 4th time i've stayed at bsl. And it's like home from home. It isn't posh but you can get an en-suite room.and a good night sleep facilities for doing your own cooking or go into town to eat within a few minutes When I come up to fw. I wouldn't think about stopping anywhere else The cooker used to be a bit dodgy, but it has recently been replaced

Despite some problems - see below - we felt the staff were friendly and did their best to help my handicapped wife in a difficult situation. There are numerous steps to reach the family rooms - none was on the ground floor ( my wife has troule with atairs, as I'd advised hotel). But worst of all, the street entrance was 30 or 40 yards up a very steep slope. I know the hotel can't help this, but we should have been warned. Also, there is a fire exit into car park which would have avoided most of the slope, but we werent allowed to use this.

Perfect for a short-stay! Although the room was small, it was very clean and provided all the basics. The staff were friendly and the location is ideal.

For the price, this hotel was excellent. The room was a decent size and I was welcomed immediately on arrival and having travelled from London on the sleeper train, it was no issue to leave my bag at reception before the room was ready. Shower was amazing! It was fine!

Definitely good value for money, the staff was friendly and the facilities were correct. Great location as well. Both heaters -- bedroom and bathroom -- were out of order. Shower went from cold to hot and vice versa unexpectedly. Good stay on the whole.

The room was perfect comfortable and clean but most of all the staff couldn't do enough for you. A great overnight stay and I would highly recommend them if you're climbing Ben Nevis or Skiing. Thanks to Kenny for sending back my trousers. Cheers

Staff friendly and helpful. Easy to use and convenient for Ben Nevis. Car park included. Staff were less than efficient and were very confused with our booking. Curtains were totally inadequate to keep out light from Car Park. Lack of any basic eating facilities so unable to have breakfast.

Convenient & fairly basic. All facilities there that I needed on this visit. Clean & resonably comfortable. Good value for money More basic than I had expected from information available. More of a hostel than hotel

I was worried about this accomodation as from the descriptions and photo's it appeared to be at the lower end of the spectrum of accomodation but whilst it was not luxury it was very very clean. we were welcomed by staff and made to feel at ease with the freedom to come and go as we please. Breakfast was not included but Morrison's and other establishments are close by, and the range of shopping and eateries are within easy reach, for whatever meal you may wish to take. Whilst the room was basic, it was very clean, kettle - tea/coffee provided etc. Just a word of warning from people from the low-lands. (and anyone with mobility issues) this establishment is on an extreme hill. Having said all that I would still recommend it to anyone who wanted a quick stayover for a day or two. (we were going on the Jacobite Express train.), as it is so central for all the trips etc.

Reasonably priced clean and well located in the town of Fort William for exploring the area and Ben Nevis. Can't recommend The Stables Restaurant enough.Plenty and good quality food, situated just below the inn. No complaints, had an enjoyable stay.
