The location was perfect for me to visit my family home for Christmas. It seemed safe and far enough away from traffic to be disturbed.
The room smelt very damp. The windows were damaged. I was next to some sort of water pipes outside which disturbed my sleep. Outside the window was clearly being used for dumping rubbish. The bed was extremely Un comfortable and felt old and creaky. The robes were dirty and the shower water didn't drain. There was also mildew on the lamps. I was disappointed with the cost after paying over £100 a night I did feel disappointed.
It was an excellent retreat and the spa was lovely
We have stayed on several occasions over the last 15 months or so, the staff are always helpful, polite and professional, always a real treat to stay
Nothing to complain about
Exceptionally good, friendly and helpful staff.
I liked everything about the Bannantyne Hotel and Spa and hope that I will be able to visit again at some time as it was an experience well worth every penny!
Brilliant stay for New Years, good value for money & brilliant staff!! They were busy but still had smiles on their faces & always so helpful!! Thank you for a fab stay :-)

bathroom sink plug. it was challenging and i lost. no idea how it works - suspected spring loaded but it did nt ( spring ) so plug useless but everything else excellent
the Hotel is easy to find and within easy distance of Hatings. I went there for my goddaughters wedding and we used the spa in the afternoon great facilities I can't fault it. My room was large clean and a very comfortable bed It was good to have free wifi and free parking. The staff were all very helpful and it was a pleasure to stay there
Great hotel and really nice room, Staff were more than helpful and always ready when needed.
Booked through website (booking.com) and what I booked didn't match the hotels records, if that was the Site's fault or Hotel I don't know but could of been worse had I not swapped with another family member.
the general atmosphere was very nice. An excellent breakfast. The garden and views were beautiful. All over a very nice break.
Changing rooms at the spa were freezing.
Rooms were ok
Additional events. No access to swimming pool for children before 2pm Breakfast warm rather than hot and not available after 9.30am. Shouting at 2.30am which woke us up. Front desk kept us waiting when we arrived. WiFi slow

had one little problem but not going to spoil things.... I have let them know....
no robe in bedroom walk to the spa spa was much more of a public health club and so didn't feel as special
The staff were polite and helpful but not over gushing. The facilities all on one site. The relaxed atmosphere The spa facilites Loved it all
I loved it all, there wasn't anything i didn't like.
The spa and gym Conservatory restaurant and gardens
The highlight of the stay was breakfast which was excellent in terms of quality and freshness.
Evening meals were expensive in regard to quality. The spa facilities are a walk away - and being open to public members are very very busy so not relaxing in pool - do not think the hotel makes this clear enough in its information. Room was clean - curtains expensive - but seating uncomfortable.
The bed was comfy, lovely plump pillows the way I like them and the shower head was amazing. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious!
The room was a bit too hot and we didn't know how to turn the radiator down. There wasn't much light in the bedroom either, just to 2 bedside lamps, and the bath didn't drain very well, so although I had an amazing shower, my feet were having a bath! The tables at breakfast were a bit sticky to the touch as well.
Staff and food
The plumbing, bath did not drain so after we had both had a shower the bath was half full! Also the toilet would not flush easily and the cistern did not refill without having to keep depressing the handle, not good at all.
Had a wonderful meal , very reasonable price Room was excellent Staff very friendly & helpful
Staff and facilities excellent
