The room and en suite was very clean and modern. The tea, coffee and biscuits in the room is a very nice and essential touch.
The quality of the mattress and pillows were poor. The mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows seamed of cheap quality - also uncomfortable. Would prefer a king size bed rather than a double.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The steak was very good.
Bedroom was very noisy as above the dining areas. Also the pillows were like soft rocks!! Not a great breakfast. Spa facilities very basic so did not use so slightly spoilt are reason for staying.
The spa, rooms, grounds. So much potential.
Breakfast was poor. Room was not ready on time on arrival. A little dated. Very poor service to book treatments for the spa.
The restaurant staff for our Sunday morning breakfast were exceptional, great customer service! Good vaule for money
Room was far to hotel really spoilt a great stay! Not the best check in either staff didn’t seem happy or happy to see a customer?
Friendly staff Excellent cuisine Free wifi Plenty of choice at breakfast Use of spa facilities Good parking
Walking between hotel and spa No robes in our room Lack of towels in spa Slippery floor around pool area Pool divided into lanes
Excellent restaurant and service.
Dirty windows in my room and the price was a bit too high for the standards offered. We coincided with a wedding group and, while I realise this is not the hotel's fault, the noise and disruption they caused was execessive (e.g. in the restaurant plus a nuisance phone call late at night)..
Very friendly staff and excellent facilities
Bigger king size beds
Breakfast was dissapointing
another fab mini break for our anniversary, pre booked a bamboo massage this time which was heavenly & nice that we both had it done in the same room. lovely room, comfy bed, great room service, fab shower. breakfast excellent.great to be able to go for a swim til 11p.m when its quieter.highly recommended.will be back!thankyou :-)
All the staff is very friendly and the hotel is really nice with lovely grounds
Bar staff a bit slow to serve
Friendly and efficient staff, the facilities and the food.
Hard beds which made sleeping trying. Also, the floodlight outside room 5 creates a constant light and the curtain does not blacken the room enough. The light should be moved or masked to prevent light intruding into room 5.
Grounds were beautiful
Sash window was broken so could not open window in room, room need some improvements, poor menu choice for lactose and wheat intolerance. Was woken by other guests between 12am and 1:30am, and again at 8am. Noise just echoed down corridor, recommend put some doors along corridor to reduce noise.
good room staff very helpful and attentive
I am a real ale drinker and always find these types of hotel only seem to sell awful keg beer and lager at exorbitant prices!!
The garden area is absolutely spatatular!! Really beautiful. Friendly staff who were really helpful. Breakfast was nice too lots of variety ticked all the boxes for us!!
Our room was lovely very spacious indeed, only thing is the bed was quite lumpy must be old springs slightly uncomfortable.
Staff grounds food
Bedroom window didn't open the room was quite warm
Excellent staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
super friendly helpful reception and bar staff especially during a busy wedding reception we attended Stunning grounds Large spacious double bedroom huge bathroom Well decorated and furnished bedrooms Would return again definitely :-)
Friendly and helpful staff. Good size and clean rooms. Restaurant was impressive as was the cooking and menu.
They tried their best, however the restaurant staff at busy times were rather thin resulting in delays between courses. Not the waiting staffs fault.
The spa was lovely; both the facilities and staff made for a good experience. Good location for a car driver, hotel and spa set in lovely grounds and not far from Hastings main shops.
The not so good points were; no fridge, air conditioning or ceiling light in the bedroom, only 2 bed side lights which made for a poorly lit room. Poor tv signal prompted a check of the reverse of the wires at the back to find a teaspoon poking out!
Nice location, lovely gardens. Staff worked hard to resolve our issues, and did so, but sadly only on the second day for most of the things. We only stayed 2 nights. We were left a bottle of Prosecco as a 'sorry'.
Upon arrival, we had to have assistance to operate the TV - so did the person they sent! We had a random pillowcase on the floor, no robes (it was a superior room), biscuits missing and opened. only 2 tea bags. No pen / pencil. no laundry bag, no tissues. The cost - £290 for 2 nights B & B was not value for money.
Poor lighting in small bedroom and bathroom, no air conditioning, grounds run down.
Access to spa and quality of food.
Lighting in the bedroom, including bedside lights was appalling. I could only read using a head torch.
Wonderful facilities and position for the wedding that we attended.
We were attending a wedding that started at 13.30 and decided to stay overnight following the festivities. Access to booked rooms commenced at 15.00 so we requested 2 days in advance early access. Attitude of the receptionist then and also on arrival was rude and unhelpful
Exceptionally helpful staff, beautiful grounds, big room and free access to excellent health club.
We stayed on a Saturday night in summer so probably shouldn't be surprised to be rather overwhelmed by wedding guests. It made for a rather noisy breakfast.
Nice surroundings. Good facilities
Our children ended up with much bigger bed than us which seemed odd as same price rooms.no robes supplied in either rooms.
