Friendly and efficient staff, the facilities and the food.
Hard beds which made sleeping trying. Also, the floodlight outside room 5 creates a constant light and the curtain does not blacken the room enough. The light should be moved or masked to prevent light intruding into room 5.
Grounds were beautiful
Sash window was broken so could not open window in room, room need some improvements, poor menu choice for lactose and wheat intolerance. Was woken by other guests between 12am and 1:30am, and again at 8am. Noise just echoed down corridor, recommend put some doors along corridor to reduce noise.
good room staff very helpful and attentive
I am a real ale drinker and always find these types of hotel only seem to sell awful keg beer and lager at exorbitant prices!!
The garden area is absolutely spatatular!! Really beautiful. Friendly staff who were really helpful. Breakfast was nice too lots of variety ticked all the boxes for us!!
Our room was lovely very spacious indeed, only thing is the bed was quite lumpy must be old springs slightly uncomfortable.
Staff grounds food
Bedroom window didn't open the room was quite warm
Excellent staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
super friendly helpful reception and bar staff especially during a busy wedding reception we attended Stunning grounds Large spacious double bedroom huge bathroom Well decorated and furnished bedrooms Would return again definitely :-)
Friendly and helpful staff. Good size and clean rooms. Restaurant was impressive as was the cooking and menu.
They tried their best, however the restaurant staff at busy times were rather thin resulting in delays between courses. Not the waiting staffs fault.
The spa was lovely; both the facilities and staff made for a good experience. Good location for a car driver, hotel and spa set in lovely grounds and not far from Hastings main shops.
The not so good points were; no fridge, air conditioning or ceiling light in the bedroom, only 2 bed side lights which made for a poorly lit room. Poor tv signal prompted a check of the reverse of the wires at the back to find a teaspoon poking out!
Poor lighting in small bedroom and bathroom, no air conditioning, grounds run down.
Access to spa and quality of food.
Lighting in the bedroom, including bedside lights was appalling. I could only read using a head torch.
Grounds and view from room lovely.
Booked double room, got a twin pushed together. Swimming pool/ Spa 200 metres walk outside away, just glad it was Summer! Pool area, particularly above and around jacuzzi looked very tired, ie stained ceiling tiles. No robes provided in room. Ring reception repeatedly without answer!
There was clear signs of shoddy repairs to the bathroom obviously by an unskilled tradesman, which is a shame because it's a lovely hotel and little things like this will also be remembered along with the good
Rooms are a nice size we stayed in a grand delux room. Nice and bright perfect for getting ready was able to get in room earlier than expected which was great too
The bed could have been more comfortable
Very clean; lovely bathroom; friendly staff; great breakfast!
Room far too small for the price paid!
Staff excellent, food excellent and wedding venue was very good
The rooms and hotel need refurbished. Air conditioning needed, room was too warm even with fan. Times for swimming facilities for under 16s very poor, morning times more suitable for families. Would not stay here again not very family friendly.
Location. Size of room.
Poor housekeeping/maintenance in room. Lack of cleanliness in dining areas. Slow service. Night Porter unwelcoming & failed to order our newspaper. Unsatisfactory experience overall.
Good sized room and bathroom. Very clean. Lovely grounds. Good breakfast. A relaxing stay.
Location. Would be there more if local.
Very good hotel and excellent fitness facilities.
The bed was excellent. I've rarely slept so well in a hotel. The food was great, although the Conservatory, where we had breakfast, was very bright - bring sunglasses!
The changing rooms in the spa (for the pool) were cramped and there were not enough private cubicles.
The spa and pool were fantastic and hotel staff are great
Two single beds put together as kings size, very poor for the price, menu prices not clear enough ie steak for £8 turned out to be £24 each for one course meal when a two course meal was £23. Miss leading. Booked early for £124 offer but was then charged at reception £131 at my departure which I had to show proof of amount owing on my E-mail. Quite embarrassing . £2 for a tube of tooth paste which should be part of the room package was shocking. I work for the South London press and if I had to write a hotel coloum it would be mainly good but some things need tweking.
Location, facilities, food, staff, public rooms ambience.
Rooms lack air con so room was boiling hot all night. Mattress VERY soft. Poor pillows.
Area was beautiful
The restaurant timing was unpleasant only up to 9;30pm and basically stop serving from 9.
Breakfast was good
Pool just felt like local pool didn't feel special ! Was very busy with regulars .
Complex, rooms, gardens, food, relax bar. Enjoyed our stay and would return :-)
