fantastic best stay in a hotel

The overall experience was excellent, the service, food and comfort were all good quality.

The bathroom needed a good clean and the milk on the room was off although it was replaced very quickly.

The hotel was very luxurious and ideal for a special break.

The tap in the freestanding bath in the bedroom did not keep the water in initially and we had to call room service to repair it so instead of a leisurely soak it was a quick dip - very disappointing!

The hotel, food and staff were extremely good.

Service brilliant and evening meal excellent. Bed comfy.

Room a bit cold, as curtains covered the heater. Cooked breakfast was not up to much, food either overlooked, undercooked or cold. Taps on bath need to be looked at not stable.

I loved the spa facilities and the grounds. The staff were lovely to my young grandchild and the childrens menu was designed in a really fun way.

The shower panel was broken in my room - number 11 so that water poured onto the floor. The receptionist attempted a repair, but it still leaked the next morning. It was unbearably warm in our rooms and we could not make the windows stay open

Excellent best Hotel I have stayed in Hastings area by far.

Can't think of anything except the price. However I didn't have time to use the facilities on offer(which would have made it better value for money)

Cold room, small bathroom, room not worth 120 pound per night.

The hotel staff were lovely and could not do enough. The spa was great and well equipped.

Two main things. Firstly the pillows although decorative were too hard to sleep on which meant either a rolled up towel or nothing. Secondly we had to have the room keys rekeyed many times which was irritating.

Nice friendly hotel with excellent service from the staff.

Although internet was available in the bar / reception area my PC was unable to connect in the room in the near vicinity

The staff were great! Lovely location! Lovely breakfast! Spa was fantastic, especially like the outdoor jacuzzis,

The room was big but a bit soulless! Should have more mirrors! No bulb in lamp in room. Lamps and TV made a very annoying noise when turned on. Just a bit shabby, too expensive for what you get.

Hotel staff were friendly, gardens were lovely.

The reception staff were cold, our room was cold, service in the restaurant was poor. 'Spa' was uninviting. Hotel seemed to be a wedding factory.

The Executive Double Room was spacious and had a really comfortable large bed. It was a very quiet location even though there was a wedding reception taking place within the hotel on one of the nights we stayed. All the staff were pleasant and polite.

For a four star hotel it lacked some attention to detail e.g. dirty splash marks on the wallpaper in the bedroom, not enough hangers in the large wardrobe, poor lighting, hooks to hang the dressing gowns from (which were provided).

Excellant facilities in the spa area, nice conservatory for breakfast and relaxing grounds.

Soundproofing between our room number 12 and the next room 14 was completely inadequate for a room at £120 per night. Awful distractin just through next door normal conversation and tv, spoilt the stay.

A very enjoyable stay. The rooms were fantastic, the staff very friendly & helpful, everything you need for a relaxing weekend!

This is our second visit to Bannatynes. It's a beautiful hotel with lovely staff and the rooms are very comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast in bed for only a small supplement which was well worth it as breakfast was beautiful. We will definitely be back again soon!

We went for the spa experience which was exceptional and the hotel and meals were a bonus.

I did not like the problems my Ceoliac caused. My husband and son-in-law wanted to have a special family meal. All six of us attended and although asking if The Bannatyne was Coeliac friendly, the waitress in the restaurant did not understand, even to the point of giving me a bread roll. I do not want special treatment, and would have preferred not to have said anything and not eaten. I was embarrased by the concern of my family. Needless to say we had a wonderful time at the hotel, and look forward to returning, next time I shall avoid the fuss and keep quiet !!! Thank you for a lovely stay at your hotel. Sandra Kelly

Stylish comfortable room. Friendly obliging staff. Attractive grounds.

Breakfast was quite good.

Not a great hotel - the rooms are tired and need updating, and frankly I thought it was rather poor value for money. For the cost of the room I would expect far better. Staff weren't particularly friendly either and I would not recommend it to anyone on the strength (or weakness!) of our stay.
