I was transporting my dog and two cats internationally and required pet- friendly accommodation close to the Channel Tunnel for a one-night stay. The people at Banque House couldn't have done more for us. They had kept a parking space for me as requested (very important when unloading animals!) and the owner even entertained the dog for me for 5-10 minutes while I unloaded the cats etc. from the car. The en suite room was clean, spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The guest house is located within easy walking distance of The Leas and the "zig-zag path" down to the beach, so perfect for a good walk in the morning, while ameneties a stone's throw away include a Tesco convenience store (7am-11pm) and several restaurants / bars / takeaways. Breakfast (a basic full English) was delivered to my room piping hot and at the agreed time. All in all I was able to feel totally relaxed at what could have been a stressful interlude in the middle a long journey. Anything that this accommodation may lack by way of luxury / finer touches is more than compensated for by the personal touch, friendly welcome and general helpfulness of the owners and overall comfort and convenience of the place. I felt at home there instantly, and so did my pets. I have no hesitation recommending Banque House.

Rien.

“Welcoming and warm staff. This is a bed & breakfast so you feel like you're a guest in a beautiful private home as opposed to in a stuffy hotel. Very relaxing. Luxurious guest room decor, modern private bath, and simple but elegant made-to-order breakfast. Lovely patio with access to private gardens in the prettiest part of Folkestone, and just a block from the Leas seaside walk. Oh yes, and complimentary cake & tea or coffee, and a glass of wine or beer too. I couldn't ask for more!” Palmer, Buford, Georgia |
