They where close when we got there So we went down to a hotel down the road because they did not open until 18.00hrs
Quiet, secluded location in the countryside; friendly and courteous service; clean, comfortable room; good food; excellent value for money. I have stayed on several previous occasions, and may well return.
There is nothing I dislike. .
Staff , food, and a really comfy bed
The beer might be an acquired taste ......
Everything. Lovely room, nice bar and restaurant, great food at reasonable price, superb service. We arrived tired and left refreshed.

Perfect location to watch Tour de France and for exploring Yorkshire & Cumbria afterwards. Peace & quiet. Good Food.
Very good food Very friendly staff Accommodated our need for breakfast very early for the Tour de France
Bed was a bit too soft Wallpaper was hanging off a bit of the ceiling.
Comfort; very friendly and helpful staff. Set in a lovely village surrounded by wonderful countryside.
Noise from saniflo constantly being used in other rooms sounding in the room
Wonderful service and went out of their way to get us to a wedding, the lady gave us a lift in her own car when we couldn't get a taxi
Very pleasant people, lovely village, clean and spacious room.
The menu had limited vegetarian option. Real ale could have been better
Comfortable, informal and good food.
The rooms were rather bland - could have done with a touch of colour and more colourful pictures. It would have been useful to have a bell in reception if you needed to speak to someone when there was no-one behind the bar - you had to just call "Hello" in the direction of the kitchen. .
A very pleasant and "chummy" place to stay. A geuine unpretentious Country Inn which I will revisit.
One waitress did not speak sufficiently good English, got the order wrong on each day. Confuion over the three nights for the price of two offer,I would have been charged for three had I not picked this up.
