The location is excellent, very near of the subway station. The service is very good and I had no problems with my reservation. I had a problem with my shower (I couldn't turn it on), and it was promptly solved by the reception. The hotel is a little noisy, as other old constructions. The breakfast does not have many options, but the food is good.

I stay there frequently for business and pleasure. It's centally located on the Picadilly Line, and in trendy Earl's Court. The staff is friendly, the rooms are basic and clean, and the morning breakfast is ample. Front room sometimes can be noisy.

Location was great and in walking distance of places to eat. Great pub on doorstep too. The fact it was being refurbished and the room we stayed in was in desperate need of being updated.

Hotel is located very close to the tube stop for Earls Court. No heat, no television, pillows were very hard, floors creeked and it was very poorly lit. In addition, our confirmation indicated a complimentary breakfast however when attempting to dine in the morning we were informed there would be a charge for our breakfast.

Location is great. You can land in Heathrow take the tube straight to the Earls Court station and walk 100 meters to the hotel. From Earls Court you can get anywhere. Hotel is under refurbishment but they didn't mentioned that the heating was off and they provided electric heating. It worked ok, not great. The floor of the room was creaking, maybe due to the refurb. Probably once it is done will be a awesome hotel but price may be much higher.

The location is the Barksdales best quality.Earls Court is a nice area which is a 15min walk 2 Kensington High street,Exhibition Road & Hyde Park. The hotel itself is a 1 min walk from Earls Court tube which has central & piccadilly lines regularly. The hotel is under referbishment at the moment meaning come 7:30am there is banging drilling & people rite outside your window on the scaffolding etc. Its one of those walls paper thin kind of places also so only guest start to get up you hear water noise & doors banging. As long as you don't plan on sleeping in & move with the crowd to see the city it shouldn't affect U. The room is dated & basis but as London hotels go its what u can expect for that price. The continental breakfast is basic but satisfactory. For a city break where u get out & go the Barkston is perfect, but not for a wknd/romantic/relaxin break.

The breakfast is good. Not great, but good. The hotel is undergoing some renovations: On the first two mornings we received a wake-up call at 4.35am. When we spoke to reception there was no wake-up call logged. A computer glitch that took 48 hours to solve. Real loss of sleep, especially when you consider that London is 11 hours in time different from Aucland and we were trying to adapt to London time. On three mornings we had icy cold or barely lukewarm showers (despite our protests), The problem was not solved even by the third morning of our three day stay. All-in-all the staff made perfectly sympathetic overtures to us, but that is no recompense for lost sleep and very cold showers.

Central to our needs (5 minute walk to Earls Court ) tube station very close giving accsess to the City. Plenty of eateries close by giving a variety of choice. Refurbishment taking place, but all for the good.

Super close to metro station. Just around the corner a nice place to eat. Easy access to Heathrow airport (the same tube line, 35-minute trip) and the heart of the city. Brealfast was nice, staff is pleasing to help. Central heating was off during my visit, still heaters were available for use.

A spacious room, but a little delapidated, probably to be modernised in the current renovation. Once renovated, it will be a desirable hotel.

Good location and reasonable price. They delivered a breakfast early to my room as I had to leave before breakfast room was open. Had a room at the back but it overlooked Earls Court metro, so you can hear the trains (which are there above ground) arriving and departing. Floord a bit creaky but I was on top floor.

The location of the hotel is simply perfect, you can get to almost all places of interest within 20 minutes max. I also enjoyed our room - it was rather spacy and really very cosy. Only one disadvantage that we had was the refurbishment which the hotel was undergoing - and not because of the noise or something like that - the central heating was off (we stayed at the very beginning of february) but the staff provided us with two heaters and that was really enough) unfortunately it was impossible to take one of them to the bathroom )) And by the way - the street is very quiet, so you won`t have any inconviniences when sleeping at night or in the evening) so it`s a really nice place to enjoy your holidays in London, it completed the amazing image of the city)
