The accommodation (Room 3) was excellent. Ian and Carolyn were the perfect hosts including giving me invaluable guidance based on their local knowledge.
Good breakfast, parking available, good local pubs.
Pretty much everything!
I was working in Plymouth which I about 15 mins away by car. The staff are lovely and the surrounding area is beautiful, perfect base if you want to explore dartmoor.
We were greeted by Carolyn on our arrival and shown our room with a wonderful view over the countryside. The room was perfect - quality facilities, comfortable bed which was turned down every night for us and ensured a good night sleep. The bathroom was outstanding for cleanliness with the addition of quality products. The room was maintained beautifully, and cleaned daily to the same high standard. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice of hot breakfasts as well as cereals, fresh fruit and yogurts. We would definitely stay here again.
We can honestly say there was nothing we disliked about our stay.
Friendly welcome, large bedrooms , very clean and tidy, lovely breakfast with plenty to choose from . I would highly recommend to anyone , I will book here first the next time I'm in the area
Milk and bottled water provided in the fridge -every comfort was provided for.
It was all good
very nice hotel very nice owners very good breakfast handmade by the owners parking in front of the house
Location was good for Plymouth and for Datrmoor. Barnabus House is spotlessly clean, with a lovely fresh smell as soon as you enter. The owners are friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the local area. Breakfast was good. Bed comfortable.
Hospitality, friendliness, ambience, warmth. Charming location, super food, wish we could have stayed longer!
Having to leave!
The facilities were lovely and clean, comfortable and worth every penny, the breakfast was excellent how do they do a fried breakfast with no grease, yummy.
absolutely nothing, would stay there again with out thinking twice.
everything about this beautiful facility is in my opinion is 5 star. Our hoste were pleasant and helpful and bent over backwards to make our stay as memorable as possible. If I'm ever back this way, I would certainly stay here again.
Beautiful view of Dartmoor Excellently maintained Friendly and helpful!
Friendly, helpful owners. Lovely area.
Very comfortable stay.Excellent owners who go that extra mile to ensure your stay is great.
The thought and attention to the general environment. e.g. decoration and amenities.
It met all my requirements but feel an A4 sheet explaining the operation of the DVD and the TV/DVD remote i.e. an enlarged diagram of the remote labelled etc. this sheet laminated keeping it clean and pristine.
Always made to feel very welcome and they both have great knowledge of the local area. Great visit.
Everything was excellent - can't fault it
Friendly people. Very comfortable. Food good quality, some homemade.
Good location, made to feel very welcomed and nothing too much trouble for the owners to make my stay very enjoyable.
Nothing worthy of comment.
An outstanding b&b. I can't fault anything and was very impressed that fresh milk was provided for tea etc. in the room fridge - in my experience, not even grand hotels do this! Just one example of the excellent attention to detail.
We stayed for three nights at Barnabas House. The room was perfect and in all respects we found this to be an excellent B&B. There are other B&Bs we have stayed in where the experience is also excellent, but it's the additional touches here which go the extra mile. A small quiet fridge in the room, restocked with fresh milk each day (we so hate the tiny milk containers found elsewhere); the provision of several daily newspapers in the dining room; the excellent selection of local guides to help you appreciate the surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent. Good selection of cereals and fresh fruit. The Full English also delivered ! WiFi was fast and was easy to connect.
Spacious room with comfortable bed plus settee and fridge with fresh milk supplied. Quiet. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast. Welcoming and helpful proprietor. Good access to Dartmoor.
In all aspects we were given excellent service
