It was lovely the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spotless, fresh and clean. We were able to relax in the lovely gardens it was really good

We liked the country atmosphere . The breakfast choice and quality of the food was extremely good. The staff were efficient and charming.

The very bad insulation in room 11. We could hear every noise from next door and as a result we will not be staying at the hotel again. It is a shame but really to insulate a room is not difficult these days. To hear someone peeing is not acceptable.

Beautiful grounds and superb historic building. Rooms nicely decorated with quality fittings. Superb views and the best hotel I've stayed in so far. Already recommended this hotel to lots of colleagues and friends.

I loved the look and feel of the building and the lovely grounds. The decor was lovely and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I couldn't find a single fault !

The hotel was ok for the price

It is not business friendly, the wifi is not working in all the rooms. The fact that there are no signs and directions where the hotel it makes it difficult to find at night!!

Decor was shabby which was a shame.

The place was very tired in places and the "corporate" ownership advertising and plastic displays detracted from the original splendour of the property and experience.

The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was good. Would recommend to others and return again myself.

The staff were friendly and the cooked breakfast was of a good standard and plentiful. The bedroom was spacious and well furnished and quiet.

Only one thing that was annoying. The noise the pump made everytime we turned the water on in the bathroom or when we flushed the toilet. The shower pulsated as it pumped as well and only worked properly if taps were running at the same time. Only a little thing but would have got more annoying if stayed for more than one night.

They went out of their way to provide as personal a service as possible. The grounds are stunning.

The grounds and building were stunning. From the minute we checked in the staff were at hand to help with any questions we had.

The tv and wi-fi in the courtyard area where poor, lacking a good reception.
