the room was good value we liked the air con in the room particularly. The food was very over rated - we found a lot of guests ate at the pub up the road -much better value The sports bar was noisy and was only bar open in the day.also in the lounge women in dressing gowns were sitting next to people having afternoon tea -whats that about?

Loved the room and the added extras such as the bathrobes, toiletries and free wifi were a really nice touch. The food was excellent and good value for money. Good range of treatments available at The Spa and the pool, sauna and steamroom were nice to use.

The attitude of the staff was second to none. Nothing was to much trouble, and dealing with the out of the ordinary was no problem. WE will certainly go back for a longer stay. No reserved parking for overnight guests. The parking was swamped with day golfers.

Very comfortable bedroom with fresh coffee supplied; nice touch! Thanks goodness for Sat Navs as the road signs to the hotel are somewhat out of sync. The Sports Bar was under-staffed on the Friday evening we stayed with absolutely no focus of collecting empty glasses from the tables. Instead the bar-crew were taking the glasses from the other bar at the hotel. The evening meal and breakfast experience were nothing short of farcical. The restaurant, with its new menu is trying to up the stakes and cater for a client base that does not exist here and it simply doesn't work. Vegetables are an add-on item to the main dishes and by the time that you have added the cost of three side dishes, the meal and the overall quality fall short of value for money. The waiting staff are poorly trained and to a large extent lack initiative. They are however, highly trained at apologising when a customer brings an issue to their attention which quite clearly they should have foreseen. Examples are: Tea & Coffee brought to the table and no milk; toast brought to the table and butter follows 10 minutes later after asking twice for it.

Lovely rooms - appear to have been refurbished recently to a high standard. Nice location with good facilities. Excellent staff but breakfast a little disorganised. Possibly as a result of ongoing upgrading work.

Rooms very clean and comfortable. Good food and service. The sports bar was closed for refurbs which made the lounge and bar adjacent to restaurant very busy. Our stay was therefore not quite as restful. Still had a good break though.

Very comortable huge bed. Most comfortable bed l have ever slept in! Good facilities in room. - fridge, coffee and tea pots, Molten Brown toiletries. Spotlessly clean and nice and modern. Conference room had fantastic views of the golf club Food was good. Staff freindly. I imagine it would be a good venue for weddings too. Not the hotels problem.... But it's about 10 miles from Norwich train station. You are looking at paying approx £24 taxi fare each way.

We were a trio of friends who stayed to play golf at the two courses at the hotel and were not disappointed. The courses were in good shape and the pro shop experience was good. We were also pleasantly surprised at the quality of food in the restaurant. I wish they made hotel rooms in the uk a little bigger! Also the hotel website is a bit clunky and needs further refinement.
