Barnham Broom Hotel, Golf & Spa  

we had stayed before and enjoyed ourselves and said we would return for another visit.Staff helpful and friendly,spa facilities very good.Food very good in restaurant and staff very courteous, overall a very enjoyable stay,will visit again.

Very tranquil, ideal for a quiet break

All was good, room looked better on the internet! Dirty brown stain on a bath towel so we had to share a towel which was not ideal!!

Excellent hotel. Nice rooms, good leisure facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices for food in the bar area and good quality.

Restaurant was a bit overpriced. Food not that much better than the bar area just better presentation. Staff were very attentive and helpful though.

Sports bar. Swimming pool/sauna/steam room. Spacious room.

Possibly replace tv with newer flat screen.

Good food, good service, wonderful countryside location and all at a very reasonable cost.

Too many TV's in the sports bar area - plus the fact they were not even showing sport, they were showing X Factor or somesuch. If they are on at all, TV's in a sports bar should show sport.

Some of the reception staff were very unhelpful and got our booking mixed up with another "Mathews" - a single chap called Jefff but refused to admit it and put us in a room where we had to walk outside every time we left the room for the hotel. they were very unhelpful when we asked for another room and eventually we were offered a larger room for a further £50 per night but onlyj available for 2 nights. We decided to accept this in the end as the room we had been given was like a hutch - very small and gloomy.

Convenient location - Breakfast in restaurant very acceptable

Rooms very cramped and in need of serious updating. Restaurant for evening meal expensive and chef obviously trying to impress and gain recognition presumably for more rosettes or michelin star. One starter exact copy of one we had in a michelin star restaurant in Yorkshire. All in all not suitable menu for a hotel of this quality. Golfers come for the golf not for fine dining and hpb next door want value for money - missing out on a large captive volume of diners who would not pay the price of the meals. Certainly have more than enough waiters to cope with more people.

The pool was very nice

The buildings are rambling and rather tired looking, especially from the outside.

The rural setting, the peace and tranquility. The very comfortable kingsize beds in the room. The leisure facilities. Food in the both the resturant and Sports Bar was good.

Nothing that we didn't like but we felt that the service in both the Sports Bar and the resturant while being good, didn't have enough staff to cope with the number of people. We wouldn't have wanted to be in either place when you were busy.
