Quiet and good location to tour the area. Friendly staff and helpful. Excellent breakfast on first day not so good second day
Unable to shower one morning as no water prompt attention by staff could not solve it. Offered another room but no better eventually went for breakfast and everything was fixed on our return. Staff very considerate and helpful but perhaps situation should not have arisen in first place no harm done really for us but if on tight schedule may have been problem.
Welcome pack for the dog
If there was a feild were the dog could run it would be perfect
Peaceful location, big room, bar lounge and restaurant. Service was excellent.
Comfortable bed and room with lovely view..... Best of all excellent staff. Staff helped us to eat in the room we wanted in the evening for example which was appreciated.
Bathroom robe was very old and could have been more lovely and soft....
Excellent breakfast, friendly & polite staff, a lovely place to stay. We will be back!
Excellent food and service. Regular visitor to this hotel.
I chose the location from the online information, particularly the photos of the hotel and gardens. I found it matched my expectations. The building is lovely and the courtyard was wonderful. The room was cosy and comfortable. It provided me with the perfect 'get away from it all' break.
Loved the cows and breakfast. Great value for money and very comfortable.
I booked a hotel so that I didn't have to drive home after visiting my daughter in Leicester. It was further from Leicester than I thought but worth the distance
Excellent, tasty wide choice of home produced breakfast
Our room was small and only had a shower-personally I prefer a bath (and a shower over if possible). The hair dryer lead was not long enough for seeing in the mirror whist drying ones hair.
Great place for 'time out'. Very peaceful and nice setting.
Luxurious an well appointed, but slightly let down by needing a coat of paint in parts of the bathroom.
Very friendly staff.
The bed was too soft and because of the car park surface my car floor required a valet after our stay.
The bed was the amazing we slept in late , haven't done that in a long time. Staff very helpful and breakfast the best we have had in a long time too . Great all round no complaints
The room was excellent, among the finest ever stayed-in over 40 years of hotels, with the most comfortable bed. truly superb.
The TV could do with an upgrade but it wouldn't influence our opinion of the hotel. Didn't use WiFi.
loved the room, loved watching the birds in the court yard whilst having breakfast, comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff, great location for the area,
Excellent food and waiting staff.
The bed was a shocker v lumpy and hard as were the pillows, the shower never got above Luke warm.
We got a free upgrade to a brilliant room. The lady at the reception was very friendly and was pleased to inform us of our upgrade. The whole room was great it was nice to have the facilities to make a cup of tea or coffee.
The wifi wasn't the best. Not the best signal.
The staff are so helpful.
great shower, plenty of tea & coffee> Like the cafetiere with good coffee & bottled water - nice touches. The room was spacious & the room heat was controllable which made it instantly comfortable
The duvets & pillows are well past their best
Food was excellent. Staff in restaurant and bar where superb.
Young staff on reception need training in how to welcome and check out guests.
coffee wasn't great
Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The food and service was excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Location, staff especially Tomas, very friendly
Room on arrival 1700hr freezing, never warmed up , tried with another heater but still very cold, slept with clothes on,
Love the hotel, the ambiance and breakfast
Room one radiator for a large room. Twin beds quite small.
Friendly, gripped service. Well located for Rutland Water and other local attractions.
Puddly, gravel parking area (it had been raining heavily when we arrived). Majority of rooms are accessed through the pretty central courtyard, which is obviously open to the elements.
Weve been pasted the hotel many times and finally had thr chance to stay. Fab cream tea, nice room (if a little dated) love duck down duvet super snuggly. Dinner excellent, staff very attentive.
Wifi non exsistant in our room. Managed to pick up single bar if standing in one corner
