Comfort and excellent food and surroundings
The area was lovely and the hotel very comfortable.
Nice atmosphere. Room comfortable for the price. Very good wifi.
Very polite and helpful staff made our stay here very enjoyable.
From the greeting, the spacious well appointed room, the quality of the breakfast through to the checkout - all was a very pleasant experience. Great value for money and everything, just right!
Poor light in conservatory whilst having dinner.
The location is very restful and the food (breakfast and dinner) was delicious. I had stayed here a year ago and everything was equally as good as last time.
A warm friendly staff welcome in beautiful peaceful surroundings The attentiveness to clients needs reflects the excellent hospitality Chris and his team provide Thank you for making each guest feel special and eager to return to Barnsdale Lodge Marion Sherwood St Neots Cambs
Conservatory, bar lounge and courtyard
dirty carpets in foyer to rooms (not reception) some lights not working in room Decor is dated and needs refurbishment For me, does not represent value for money
The location by Rutland Water .The size of the room with a settee and easy chair
Extra thoughtful details, window cut into bathroom mirror giving light whilst retaining privacy, the switch for the shower on opposite wall for 'remote' turn on. The heated section of bathroom mirror to retain a clear section. The large comfy bed, well stocked tea and coffee tray. Friendly staff, lovely surroundings and attention to detail!
Smart enough to be special but informal enough to be comfortable. High standard of food and accommodation. very well situated for Rutland Water
Just wished we could have stayed longer!

Excellent price for 2 nights stay, although room needed refreshing. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location and suitable for both couples and families. Very good value Sunday lunch,
Room a bit tired. Thought dinner was expensive vis a viz. quality of food. seemed short of staff at breakfast at most popular time.
great Staff and good bathroom breakfast very good and better than most places we have stayed at
bedroom a bit small dining room full on the night we stayed had to go find a pub to eat but that was no a problem
Offered a safe place to store our bikes.
Bath was dirty. Drinks were pricey.
This hotel is easy to find very close to Rutland Water north shore. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are comfortable. The sheltered courtyard is a lovely place to sit anytime. Breakfast in the conservatory was a delight with an excellent choice of cooked and cold dishes. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location for us on way to Norfolk, easily accessible without being busy
Funny fan noise in bedroom through the night
Beautiful hotel and situation. Staff helpful and friendly. Well appointed room, comfy bed. Excellent breakfast.
The door between rooms, making it a very noisy night. Disturbing sleep ++
Lovely surroundings. Staff friendly and extremely helpful - Nothing too much trouble. Lovely greeting on arrival and each time staff were met. Food cooked to perfection and good fresh produce too. Lovely homemade marmalade. Deserves a longer stay than I had available.
First meal - Pet hate, being asked if I was the only person for a table.
Lovely stay and we couldn't fault this hotel or the place. The restaurant is excellent too. Amazing service too.
Outdoors courtyard for eating - dinner and breakfast! Friendly welcome for pet dog
On eitherside I could clearly hear conversations. Kept me awake.
Lovely location. Very close to the beautiful Rutland water. So Its very peaceful. Lovely gardens and seating area all around. Nice bar and conservatory area for peaceful drinks in the evening. Staff very friendly. Room was perfect. Very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was nice. Would recommend :)
Full English breakfast could be improved. Egg, bacon, sausage were nice but hash brown looked like it was cooked 6 times. Bed/mattress felt like it was slanted.
