Room was spotless, everything you could need had been considered. Rooms were very quiet, thought we were the only guests until we got to breakfast!!! Breakfast was spot on, local produce.

Pretty much everything was great, as often happens Booking.com did not pass on the request for a double rather than twin room, but as soon as we mentioned this the change was made whilst we had a great dinner in the restaurant, there was no fuss & the staff seemed genuinely concerned to ensure we were happy during our stay

Ideally either finish breakfast (particularly on a Sunday) at 10.30 rather than 9.30 or perhaps offer a continental or tray breakfast in the room as an option (which I would have paid £5 extra per tray if offered)

Lovely greating from owners mother who was minding the shop.Joined us after we had checked in with stories. Breakfast included in the price had an extensive menu and was lovely set you up for the day. Evening menu extensive and served beautifully.

The wi-fi was a pain it worked for short periods when in your room. Wouldn't work in the rest of the building. Bit of a problem when you need to be in contact for an in pending disaster with 12 year old not with us. TV not very good picture only staid with the 4 main channels could do with an idiots guide for accessing other channels available.

We stayed here before visiting the Royal Welsh show last year too, the rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean, beds comfortable. Lovely location with super garden for evening meal and drinks, staff friendly and helpful, great choice of breakfasts.

Be aware that the hotel take the first night's stay from your credit card on the day you make the booking - we booked in December for a night in July so hotel took money 7 months before our stay!

The Baron lived up to the excellent reviews we had read before we booked. We stayed in room 1 which was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standered, with everything you could possibly need. The iphone docking station was a lovely touch. The bed was a little softer than we are used to but it was so comfy with quality bed linen. The bathroom too was faultless and of a very high standered. The breakfast was excellent with well cooked local produce and the food in the evening was delicious with special praise going to the roast pork. All the staff we met were warm and friendly and ready to help. The views from the Baron are lovely. Bucknell is a very pretty village and it's well worth a stroll down to the church . From here we had a fabulous time visiting Ludlow and doing the black and white tour which is well worth doing .We will be back .

Our second stay at The Baron and will certainly return. Spotlessly clean rooms, excellent food and friendly staff. The location is wonderful and would certainly have stayed longer were it not just a convenient overnight stop en route.
