the value, the lounge, staff,breakfast.
Hotel had real personality and was great value for money.
Perfect distance from the centre. Good car parking. Good size room and bathroom. Good breakfast for £7. Welcoming staff. Will definitely stay again.
Honestly can't think of anything.
felt welcome from the moment we arrived; the place is splendid!! our twin room was small but perfectly adequate as who on earth spends time in a hotel room when on holiday!! the staff were helpful and will definately staye here next year!
Atmosphere Design Bed Nice big tub Location Price
One towel provided only Free bottle of water in the room was tap water, smelling of bleach
Good value, very good breakfast.
Great place to stay
very clean quiet great value for money l
excellent food, cosy, friendly, relaxing. I loved the furnishings quirky especially the armour.I would certainly return it is a get away from it all kind of place.
there was nothing I didn't like all it was all lovely!
Pet friendly hotel
Great customer service and lovely room. Definitely worth the money.
The quirkiness of the decor, my taste entirely. The living room is a real treat and very well done. The additional tea, coffee and milk available ( don't have to ask, it is provied for you ) Ice available free of charge and self service Provision of plates and cutlery for evening meal (takeaway) Ordered taxi for me for next morning - taxi did not turn up so Keith took me to the train station (many thanks again Keith) The most important asset is Keith who was a wonderful accomodating host who was helpful but not imposing.
The divan bed (that is a personal preference)
The owner was smashing, very accomodating and welcoming. Comfortable and quirky home. Location quiet and peaceful would definately stay again!
Location not ideal for local amenities, no substantial food or drinks within walking distance. (However the owner does his best to make up for this) Bed comfy but found I not a huge fan of memory foam mattress, not a bad night sleep considering.
Offbeat lounge (were we part of Rocky Horror - it was close to Halloween?), quiet and a challenge to describe. Is it bizarre, bijou, boutique? Whatever, a refreshing change from the ordinary with a cottage feel. Loved it and appreciated the effort made to make it different plus the very nice red wine at a good price.
awkward getting to a mirror whilst holding hairdryer. But hey, part of the magic!
Excellent value for money, very clean and quiet, friendly staff and the room was just enough for what i needed, real attention to detail in cleaning
Not much to dislike about the place to be honest
Felt very comfortable
The hotel is exceptionally clean and well kept. The manager was very polite, friendly and well organised.
The hotel, although licenced, doesn't have a bar. Finding the manager to get a beer from the kitchen can be difficult in the evening.
The ambience and lovely details they had gone to made the stay different to most. It was a great place to stay at. The service was friendly and helpful.
The front bedroom was a bit noisy , as you are on a main road.So ask for a back one.
lovely atmospheric 1920's hotel, clean and full of character. Breakfast was one of the best we have experienced and great value for money.
There wasnt anything to dislike.
Character and charm for less than a chain hotel, Friendly, approachable management and staff. Parking and wifi included. Excellent location close to city centre. Lovely breakfast. Clean, comfortable room with decent shower and extra coffee and tea. Just brilliant all round, really - a hidden gem.
Nothing - can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
On Halloween week, we were greeted by all sorts of figures on display. A lot of time and effort had gone into producing this. Well worth the stay.
Nothing all good.
Personal attention and helpfulness of staff. Building with a history and features with a sence of humour. Warm, comfortable, plenty of hot water. Choice of breakfasts available.
