Service was incredible. Very, very good from the moment I arrived until I left, and consistently applied by all staff. If only it had a Spa / Gym or Pool or something to make the stay a little more interesting.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was really comfortable. The hotel's situation was also very good in that there was lots of garden and countryside surrounding the hotel. The breakfasts were very good and so was the evening meal. There was nothing at all to complain about.

Stayed overnight after son's graduation. Rang to request an early check in if possible and staff very helpful and accommodating. Actually arrived 30 minutes before I had said but this was not a problem and the room was ready. We were able then to have a coffee before changing and leaving for graduation ceremony. The small squares of flapjack on the well stocked hospitality tray were delicious. Stayed in a family room with double bed and two singles. The room was spacious, clean and airy. Bathroom fresh and clean. Breakfast the next morning well cooked and ample. Grounds of the hotel looked stunning. Saw an award at reception for best wedding venue in the North West and can see why. Recommended. The tap to turn on shower was quite stiff to operate. Other than that nothing bad to say. Floor boards a bit creaky but then this is an old country house so expected.

Positive staff attitude - reflects family approach. Quality of food was good, especially for an establishment focused on corporate/wedding events. Room 11 a little small, no lock on bathroom. Ideally, web details on how to find the hotel could be a little clearer, as could sign at entrance.

Very god. The impressive feature was the attitude of the staff who have bought into the customer care philosophy. Bar prices not bad for a quality hotel.

We enjoyed the pure luxury of Bartle Hall . The peace when walking in the grounds was so relaxing. The staff could not have done more to make our stay any better. We both needed a break from our stressful lives and that is what we got . Well done Bartle Hall .

This hotel is in a quiet location and very convenient for the motorway system. The staff are very efficient and friendly, the service and food are excellent. Rooms are extremely well equipped and very comfortable. A lovely place to stay. This was our second stay and we would definitely stay there again when we are in that part of the country.

This is a delightful hotel in a wonderful setting. It isn't the smartest hotel in the area - a bit worn in places, but don't let that put you off, it is comfortable, well furnished and very friendly. The food is good, served in the bar or restauarant, and prices are reasonable. Breakfast is served in the small restaurant with a lovely view of the gardens; it makes for a wonderfully calm start to the day, just as a drink in the early evening sunshine (if you are lucky) in the garden is a perfect close to the day. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. I have stayed in four hotels in this area and this would be my first choice every time.

Lovely location, extremely friendly and helpful staff. I had a lovely room described in the booking as executive and felt this was well worth that little bit more. Lovely well appointed bathroom, comfortable bed and facilities. Nice food catering for indivual dietry requirements. Not on this visit.
