This Hotel is one of the best my wife and I have stayed, all the staff are so friendly and helpful and it as all the comforts of home. Your so central for Lancashire, Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Cheshire this is the second time we have been here and was here for two nights. Thank you Barton Villa.
The bed was very comfortable. Complimentary tea and coffee in the room.
The bathroom floor got soaked from the shower.
Stayed at Barton Villa for 2 Nights Was well pleased , Clean Room , Nice Full English Breakfast , Off Street Parking , Caring Owner ,Would Stay Again .
nothing to Dislike .
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
There was no hot water on my first night and the staff not only expected me to pay for that night but also the remaining three nights of my booking even though I moved hotels! It was also dirty, noisy, hard to find and required two hands to unlock the uncovered front door (it's not like you ever have something in your hands when you enter a hotel, is it?).
Comfortable bed, Excellent breakfast
Helpful staff Large clean rooms Lovely shower / wet-room Good cooked breakfast Plenty of parking space
Surprisingly set in quite an industrial area. Noisy with traffic noise in the night. Bright street lights outside our window. An option to have soft pillows would have given us a better sleep.
No customer service at all we were simply given a key and told our room was upstairs. The dining room and bar door were locked. There was no information booklet about either the place or surrounding areas. The breakfast tables were cramped and the plates child-sized
Very friendly and helpful staff and very clean.
Adequate single room which was clean and comfortable. The shower was excellent. The price was very competitive and plenty of car parking. Would definitely use again .
Nothing to add.
A lovely family-run hotel which is being up-dated whilst still retaining lots of the original features. The staff are helpful and caring. We were in the annexe, and, despite the impression given in some other reviews, we were able to have an excellent night's sleep, undisturbed by security lights, creaking headboards, etc etc. Very good value for money.
Easy access to Oldham where my mother in-law lived until Sunday past.
Not many good eating places close by unless we missed them.
The location was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the room was immaculate, early morning breakfast was very good, I recommend Barton Villa 10/10
We didn't realise we would be put in the modern annexe. We were looking forward to staying in the Victorian house. That was a disappointment. Wifi connection was not good in annexe.
Comfortable and friendly atmosphere
Ok for 1 night wouldnt want to stay longer
the hotel was nice in general very clean quiet
nice breakfast but not good for two working lads unless you are the size of a dwarf! Very small, poor portions and when we finished we were not asked if this was enough or would we like anything else???
loved every thing about it could not find anything to moan about at all highly recommended if ever i am in the area again this is where i will definately staywill award a 12 out of 10 [if that makes sence ] good luck
nothing not to like
Quiete location Comfortable Beds Attentive Staff Breakfast what would axpect
No shower gels etc provided. Did you know the huge flood light for the car park fills the room with light all night long and the blind on the window and door do nothing to stop the light making it nearly impossible to get to sleep
Well equipped room with all facilities that I needed. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Good wifi connection. TV in the room.
Nowhere near any restaurants or coffee houses. Although I chose this location as it was near crematorium and I was attending funeral.
I screwed up the booking totally and arrived a day before of the booked date (also well after the closing time of the reception desk ) but there was no issues at all. The breakfast was excellent!
Reception closes at 10 p.m. as its a family business this is okay. The issues is Booking.com gives no notice about that fact only in the booking reservation email when the whole thing is done.... U need to call in them in advance to arrange the late arrival then should be no issues afterwards.
hotel near to function area I was attending.
the shower cubicle too small for big built person.
Free Wi-Fi Walking distance to town- Parking area.
No access to the main house , use of lounge and no bar. Nowhere to sit outside. besides the smokers corner. Breakfast time too early and short.
