We were staying overnight after visiting my daughter in Oxford Were looking forward to a peaceful cosy nite out in the country Accomodatuon was compact very cosy and comfortable Sadly though there was a birthday party going on in the pub and revellers were standing right outside our window until 1 am in the morning being very loud Would have not been a problem if we'd been part of the party but as we weren't it was very irritating as we had done a lot of travelling and were tired We felt that the pub should be asking people to stand in the back garden to smoke rather than at the side where the accommodation is Would stay again but not on party night Worth phoning up and checking out before you book if you're hoping for peace and sleep

The staff were all very friendly and made our stay very comfortable, could not wish for any better.
Staff friendly and accommodating. Room small but cosy. Food excellent.
When we arrived although the girl behind the bar was busy serving other customers she acknowledged us straight away and made us feel very welcome. Both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent value for money.
Very comfy bed and nice breakfast.
Car park very small. No space left when I arrived after a very long journey. Difficult to turn around and get out of car park. Took a long time driving up and down the road to find a space on the road. Not ideal after a 5hr drive! They would benefit from having allocated space for B andB guests in the pub car park. No specific area to got to check in, had to queue at the very busy bar (Friday night). Staff friendly but busy behind the bar.
Staff were very friendly. The pub had a quiet, warm, country-pub feel. Bedroom was very warm and comfortable. I only stayed one night and didn't eat any meals so can't comment on the catering but otherwise my stay was very satisfactory.
Cozy unique pub. Friendly staff. Nice location. Really enjoyed our stay here.
This was the only local place to eat but unfortunately we did not feel the food was fresh. Otherwise we could not fault our stay.
We always enjoy our stay at the Bat and Ball, only one night this time as was full for the other night that we required, need to book early.
The Bat & Ball is in a pretty, quiet village in a very convenient location for visiting Oxford. The pub is wonderfully decorated with a wide range of cricket memorabilia. The food is nice. The rooms are nicely decorated with a good bathroom.
I found the mattress not very comfortable.
A warm and friendly welcome, good beer, good food in a very traditional setting. Liked the place so much I immediately booked for the same night in following 3 weeks.
The only negative has to be the entrance to the car park which is through a very narrow stone archway
Great friendly staff. Beautiful location and pub was wonderful.
Bathroom facilities could be improved
Great location to Raymond Blanc Four Seasons. Very cosy traditional comfy Inn. Friendly and Very helpful staff. Great memorabilia for the Cricket Fan.
The bed was not the most comfortable and creaked a lot. Bathroom needed a bit more TLC - mould in the shower area.
Nice location, friendly staff, cosy bar, good pub food.
Pleasanton peuple and good métal.
Wifi not stable
Excellent breakfast, cooked fresh
Room was tiny - hardly room to move around the bed and staff not easily available
Nice feel to pub staff friendly.
Very small shower room and bed very uncomfortable for both of us. Pub very very hot for some reason.
Set in a little village but close to Oxford if you needed it. Excellent breakfast choices. They had a beer festival going on but the noise wasn't too bad in the room. Very friendly staff and manageress.
The country feel was nice and the bat burger was great. Nice menu and cosy surroundings. We had the family room so plenty of room and two good beds. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast and nice service too. We'd stay there again.
We stayed at the time of a real ale festival in the pub and so didn't have any prior warning that there would be loud music, clearly heard in our room. It would have been nice to pre-book dinner through your website at the time of room booking.
Great pub, Great food, Great accomodation and a fantastic cooked breakfast, Highly recomended
Friendly, convenient and cosy. Very good food at a reasonable price.
The staff were very attentive. We were late down for breakfast, but the staff went out of their way to help us out and cooked for us anyway. So thankful!
Quirky old cricket themed pub in peaceful location with very friendly staff and excellent breakfast.
the one and only problem was that we could feel the springs through one of the mattresses in the Trueman suite...very uncomfortable for my wife.just the luck of the draw I guess.we did tell the helpful staff who will hopefully have remedied this by now.
Wonderful ambience. Excellent friendly and efficient staff. Good wholesome freshly cooked food served in the evening and at breakfast! My husband enjoyed the local ale too. Room and bed comfortable but we were kept awake by either other guests and/or staff till 1am! We would return but raise this issue beforehand.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good. Lovely location
