In a quiet location, close to the Peak District, Chatsworth House and historic Chesterfield, this beautifully converted 18-century mill offers free Wi-Fi, lovely en suite rooms and award-winning food.
Family-owned and run by John, Maggie and Steven Roberts, Batemans Mill has an excellent reputation locally for the quality of its cuisine.
There is a ground-floor bar and restaurant featuring exposed wooden beams, an open fire and the mill's original well. On the first floor, and with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, Miller's Restaurant offers a regularly changing menu, featuring fresh, locally sourced produce.
All of the lovely en suite rooms have digital TVs, DVD players, telephones and tea/coffee.
Batemans Mill makes a great base for visiting this beautiful part of the country, with Chatsworth House only a 20-minute drive away. Chesterfield and Matlock are only 10 minutes away by car.

Owned and operated by John, Maggie and Steven Roberts, the hotel is a conversion of an 18th century Mill House with 8 lovely en suite bedrooms, ground floor bar and restaurant, 1st floor restaurant, conference and meeting facilities and private dining room.

Area information
Batemans Mill is close to many attractions including Chatsworth House (20 minutes) and the historic spa towns of Bakewell (20 minutes) and Matlock (10 minutes). Our hotel makes an ideal base for visiting this beautiful part of the country, with a range of cycling, golf, shopping, walking and water sports facilities nearby.

By Car
From the South or North:
- Take junction 29 of the M1.
- Continue along this road for approximately 4 miles until you reach the T junction with the A61 Derby/Chesterfield road.
- Turn right, then immediately left, and continue on this road for one mile.
- The hotel is on the right-hand side.
