The Bath Hotel offers a superb location, in the heart of the village and directly opposite Lynmouth Harbour and the Lyn River. An excellent breakfast is served every morning. All rooms at The Bath Hotel have en suite facilities, tea/coffee and hairdryers. Some of them have sea views. The Bath’s restaurant serves traditional food; locally sourced food is used wherever possible, including locally caught fish. The Galley bar and lounge area has a selection of drinks and snacks. The breakfast after staying in various places over the summer months the breakfast wins top marks. Very disappointed in the room as it was sold as Grade a, yes the room was spacious but very very dated, I would describe as basic, sitting in this room would not be a pleasure because of the surroundings.

No bar in the lounge. Extremely quiet in the evening and no atmosphere, as bar closed in the actual hotel. Had to walk through the dining area to get drinks from the pub attached to the hotel. Hotel managers were seen very little and did not engage their guests in any conversation or sociable "chit chat".

I went away to relax and everything was perfect. I had been upgraded free of charge (which isnt to be expected but its lovely they do that if they have a room available) to a room with a wonderful sea view, and if I go again I may even ask for that room next time and pay full price! The hotel was clean and tidy and I know they allow pets but I couldnt see any evidence of this, by this I mean there wasnt any pet hair anywhere! I had a lovely visit and would definately recommend this hotel. I didnt find anything wrong with the hotel. Only advice to others would be to remember its location and that its built into a hill so there isnt any ground floor accomadation however if you can manage one flight of not too steep stairs you will be fine.

Good location - very friendly staff - liked the fact the Chef took trouble to come into the restaurant to talk to us. No dislikes

Fabulous price and location, no complaints with room which was dated but clean and comfortable. We didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment on the food except breakfast which was fine. There wasn't much parking but we were fine for both nights. Although always polite the man behind the desk could improve his interpersonal skills, maybe even smile!

The hotel was in an excellent location, once we parked the car we were able to access all the shops and pubs on foot. The hotel was rather dated, it needed double glazing in the rooms as they were quite cold. It only had blankets on the beds and really needed duvets.

Firstly to get to Lynmouth if you are not used to driving up very steep inclines then despite the spectacular views avoid the a39 from Minehead. The hotel staff were very friendly, the breakfast was fine and with a room looking out over the sea a very good location in the heart of the village. It is a rather dated establishment that has an odd layout and potentially a lot of stairs to negotiate with narrow corridors and we had a small bathroom. It is difficult to initially find car parking spaces although on reception you do get given a permit to park in one of the two small car parks. The room is very dated and needs to be freshened up. You currently only get 3 tv channels.

Very good restaurant and vegetarian options on the menus. Even a full vegetarian english breakfast options. (Also another restaurant serving vegetarian within the square.) Lovely views, and the hotel was right on the edge of a busy pedestrian only shopping street, where you can buy your gifts, and yummy cakes etc. Staffing brilliant very friendly from management to cleaning staff. We were lucky to get parking at the hotel, but plenty of evening free on street parking. No lifts, we had three rooms in completely different wings of the hotel and so many stairs inbetween. Advise them before booking if you have difficulties with stairs. Standard rooms only have bath, and decor requires updating, in contrast to their luxury rooms which are spacious, well decorated and include shower over bath. (Some with sea view).

All of the staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The room had an excellent sea view, was spotless and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay very much and thoroughly recommend it. If we visit the area again we would not hesitate to stay there again. The two car parks for the hotel didn't have the capacity to satisfy all guests but the were plenty of street parking slots during the evening and overnight.

The restaurant served extremely good food and a good selection of vegetarian alternatives. I'd quite happily eat there again. Very clean which was good considering dogs were welcome. The information book was really good, lots of useful contact information, things to do etc. I booked a double room at single occupancy rate and even though my paperwork and theirs said this they told me it they didn't have one available and had allocated me a twin room. They then said that a single occupant wouldn't normally be allocated a double. The twin bedroom looked like it hadn't been decorated since the 1970's from the salmon coloured wallpaper and matching quilt cover, built in furniture, glass light fitting/shade and woodchip covered door. The ensuite was carpeted and didn't have a shower just a bath but the weird thing was that even though it was ensuite, the washbasin was in the bedroom not the bathroom - why? The towels were pretty tatty and thin and because of a review I'd seen, I took a towel just in case and I was glad I did. I don't know what the other rooms were like, hopefully better. The whole place including the restaurant needs a style update. I wouldn't have paid the full rate for the room - it wasn't worth it.

The location was perfect - right in the village. Parking could be a problem - we were ok as they have spaces nearby but late-comers may have to be in the street (free overnight).

Location to the seafront/harbour very good, reasonably priced meals in the adjoining pub. Decor slightly dated, although very clean. The information stated we could use a swimming pool at another hotel, but when we enquired where it was, we were informed this arrangement no longer existed.
