It is a lovely hotel and the spa is facilities, the outdoor pool and spa is my favorite. When we check in, the staff seems do not know how to check the room, she had to wait for an other staff and asked her. we waited for a long time, even we have child and 3 people over 60. and she even do not give us 2 room together. we have 3 people over 60 and they do not know how to speak english. So It is a problem for us to take care of them. she gave us 4 room is one in ground, one in first, one in secound, like this. Also the first floor one is face to the bin, and the window can not be open. and also there are some black thing on the window. so we have to change the room. and unfortunately, we met the same staff, she let us to wait again, everything she have to ask another staff.

1. It's location. 2. The breakfast. I think in a nutshell it is best to say that it is very poor value for money. Staff training and attitude is lamentable. Restaurant chaotic service and poorly cooked food. Rooms tired and shabby and not particularly clean. Macro Alda need to shape up and what is a surcharge for using a credit card about?

Nice location - not in the centre of a city, but within 10 min walking distance, beautiful garden. Extremely slow service in the main restaurant in the evening, waiting up to 45 mins for a cup of tea... Carpet and furniture in rooms are old, smelly, bathroom is old. Breakfast - poor for the price and for the place. Service could be better although some members of staff tried to do their best.

I loved the location and the gardens.... We booked SPA treatments in advance and planned our weekend around them (it was our anniversay and my birthday). The SPA treatments were then cancelled one hour beforehand, and we had stayed at the hotel that morning specifically because we were waiting for them. They then could only rearrange them for the next day which ruined our plans that day too.

The hotel is in an excellent location for a city break in bath, comfortable walking distance from the city centre. The hotel has good Spa facilities. The staff, whilst plentiful, are generally surly in nature and not very engaging you will find yourself repeating your name and room number on multiple occasions even for the very simplest of requests and there seems robe an inability with and between the staff to remember or communicate the names of the guests. Service was generally very slow. Overall the quality of service and food was very poor.

Lovely hotel with good staff. Spa was excellent. Expensive, no breakfast included in the room price. Tea and coffee in the room was no better than premier inn.

Excellent service from both hotel and restaurant staff, excellent food. I think it would be good if you used local retailers to supply your food especially coffee in the room. There is an amazing shop calledthe Tea Emporium which could supply tea and coffee for guests why not use it!

The staffs adduttes were bad and things we ernt explanded properly , was made to feel very uncomfartable unwell , i felt llike some sort of crimenale and could not relax , i spend alot of money on my stay , apart from the spa facilaties the place was horrible ! the staff the food and the welcome were all terrible ! i spend over 1000 and was very disappointed

hotel and staff very good & friendly.was our anniversary and was a good place to chill an be spoilt also easy access to centre. only two things one we had to cancell a drinks order as we had been waiting for over 20mins and it still had not arrived.also my brother in law ordered wine to be given us at our evening meal as a suprise and we never got it which he was not impressed with as he had made the effort to phone it through and was charged for.

The garden and pond were beautiful and the hotel a short distance to the town centre .Also, the hot bath outside was wonderful.The porters were very polite and helpful and the breakfast was outstanding food.Thankyou very much. I wasnt happy with the sauna and rooms as there were no pleasent smells,it was a stale smell, and at least 3 of the rooms in spa were not hot.I also put moisturiser on in the changing room only to find the toner had run out and on my exit mentioned it to the receptionist and nothing was done about it.I feel i couldnt recommend this hotel to my friends due to the let down of the spa facilitys.

Their willingness to go just that little bit further to ensure our stay was perfect in every way, as we only stayed over for the one evening, we wanted to use the spa facility before making our way home, so we asked Jeremy one of the Butlers, he arranged late check out, late breakfast, organised collection of our bags and brought our car to the front door a true gentleman, all in all a perfect weekend. Thank you for a wonderful stay Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel. See you all again soon. Only one thing thing that I found, toilet in our room did not flush easily, I think some maintenence needed, and I forgot to let them know before I left, so I hope they pick up on this Suite 632

Superb facilities, very comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff were excellent. Could not be more helpful and made us feel very special. 15 minutes walk from Bath city centre and ideal for a city trip Bear in mind that the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel is a 5* hotel. Everything is extra. 1. I resent paying to use the hotel car park and have never been asked to do so anywhere else in the entire world, and I have travelled widely on five of the seven continents! 2. The charge of £5 per hour for WIFI is outrageous. It should be complimentary. 3. Breakfast is extra and was dire. Continental comprised ham, one kind of salami and processed cheese at £15. English was £21 from a self service buffet of over heated, dried out, unappetising food. In a 5* hotel chargingI expect freshly cooked food brought to my table.

Location good for walking into town. We were allocated 2 rooms with interconnecting door which was very convenient. Having to pay £10 per 24 hours for WiFi internet access - it is free in rooms with a cable, but slow, how can they need to charge for WiFi when rooms expensive anyway

From the minute we arrived the staff were so helpful. We were upgraded to a room with a garden view as it was our honeymoon. The spa facilities were excellent and we would highly recommend a full body massage. We also had a lovely meal in the restaurant on our first evening and the chef even made us a special dessert. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and in Bath generally and would highly recommend a visit to both.

The location and car park Overall not value for money. It took 45 miinutes to get hot water in the shower and even then it was luke war. They kept me waiting 1 hour for dinner so I did not bother the second night. The reception staff were not helpful and a bit arrogant. I will not stay there again

The Hotel has excellent spa facilities with a relaxing outside spa pool The bathroom shaver socket did not work and the sash window cords were broken, so the window was continually open considering we stayed there in the cold winter months this meant the room was quite cold.

Excellent sevice from professional friendly staff.good large beds.rooms clean. Well situated close to city but still tranquil. FIRST CLASS BEREAKFAST WITH TOP CLASS INGREDIENTS AND WELL PRESENTED Not cheap to stay but worth it if you can afford it.
