The building and setting are excellent - potential for an excellent hotel

This hotel is way short of a 5 star facility. Service was poor. Either no aircon or the aircon didn't work (I never did get to the bottom of that). Bathroom not properly cleaned throughout our stay. Tv remote did not work and was only attended to at third request. I could go on ....

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. The spa is fantastic, but the best thing about the hotel is the staff. They really go that extra mile to exceed your expectations. My partner and I had a wonderful time.

The spa was great. The hotel has a fantastic outdoor seating area & gardens which are perfect to enjoy an afternoon cocktail in the sun!

Overall the staff were lovely however speed of service was a little slow

Breakfast wasn't good at all , staff they are very slow and we order a breakfast we had to wait and when we got our breakfast it was cold and we need to wait too long which is not very good .

The room was a good size bearing in mind we were three people including our 3 year old daughter. The staff were generally very helpful and friendly particularly to our daughter. The pool and spa facilities were very good.

The receptionist understood from his booking details that we were staying for 1 night times 4 rather than 4 nights and blamed it on Booking.com. It took 4 conversations for them to understand that I had booked a 4 night stay!

The first room we were offered was not fresh and smelled of cigarette smoke. However it was sorted out very quickly and the second room was very good.

Gardens. Spacious bathroom and comfortable bed.

Extra charges for everything including an additional £2.50 for Salmon with breakfast, £5 per day for parking, 12.5 % service fee and £1 per day for charity. We were unable to book in for dinner until 9 pm, we were advised the restaurant manager that they had to give preference to a tour group for the sake of consistency. So disappointed as this was supposed tobe my birthday dinner. We were also only offered one available appointment for a massage in two days. No friendly staff except for Brian in the dining room. Additional £10 per day fee for wi- fi. All in all the worst five star hotel I have ever stayed in, definitely not up to standard. So disappointed that it spoilt what was supposed to be a special weekend.

Very relaxing stay celebrating my birthday. Was advised to eat out of the hotel by staff .

Wasn't impressed with check in and she joked about my name and thought she was a poet . Was my name taken with marriage yes it was. 30 years this oct 1 st . When shown to the room have we ever stayed in a 5 * hotel before. Yes we have we have both travelled alot dubai and don't think you get better than that. We very much had a lovely time but first impression of us or what was said was a bit rude .

The room was lovely, as was the Spa. Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive.

However, I did think that £225 a night just for the room was very expensive even for a 5* Hotel

Beautiful and impressive building and grounds. The lobby was stunning and the restaurants were impeccable. Service was amazing! Location couldn't be beat, walking distance to town through a beautiful park.

Our room on the third floor didn't live up to the grand lobby. The room was dated and grim with a depressing decor. Our friends on the garden level had a much nicer room. Bathrooms was nice however.

The setting is wonderful. All the staff were excellent. The food was good. The sun was shining! The location (Bath) par excellence.

My friend and I could not find anything to dislike.

The staff were fantastic - we felt they really cared and were attentive whilst remaining friendly and relaxed. I came back here after a previous stay a the spa facilities were so good. Also a fantastic breakfast buffet in the ballroom.........

The car park charge, when you are a guest! There was no charge last time we stayed.

Virtually everything! I got the best massage I have ever received from Sammy. Staff were very helpful and overall felt very welcome. Excellent.

Just a small thing in the restaurant. No steak knife was provided when we ordered steaks. The steak contained too much fat.
