    Nice hotel with ornate features and much history. Staff friendly and helpful Rooms to generally good standard of refurbishment and comfortable

    Continental breakfast very limited,but you could opt for full English if you wished. Shower only just warm.

    Being able to park my car very close to the Hotel. The character and the entrance of the hotel. Easy check in.

    No curtains just a blind that let the sunshine in at 6.00am in the morning. The bed sheets didn't feel clean as they looked and felt tired. The headboard was dirty and full of hair. The walls were marked and damaged. The English breakfast was poor quality, Bacon just re-heated, no choice of how you would like your eggs. No follow up to ask how was your breakfast.

    Is being run by a bunch of Doctors who clearly know nothing about hotels. Room facilities poor Breakfast overpriced and poor.

    location quit OK room sizes for just sleeping

    Air conditioning not working on the upper floor. Had to ask for another room as it was too hot. Staff eventually found us another room. Hotel needs better organising. Rooms were not clean found hair from previous guests on the bed and floor. English breakfast was average, fruit juice the cheapest they could find, chairs dirty from previous guests, just really poor standards throughout, more of a two star hotel. Will never ever return or recommend to anybody.

    I enjoyed how clean the hotel was, the staff were nice and it was very well presented. I was pleased that I had a double bed even though I had booked a single room.

    The facilities were good but I didn't feel it was a 4* hotel, more like a good 3*. The breakfast was pretty plain and I was disappointed that none of the food was cooked - there were croissants that tasted like they came from a pack of cheap own brand supermarket, packaged cereals and toast. No english breakfast or anything home made.

    i was moved to a more comfortable room by staff upon request. the Indian restaurant was very good with good selection of menu.

    the annexue is horrible with old building and rooms without adquate noise cancellation. thin walls and single glazes windows. dont take those rooms at all - room 1 to 16. other rooms are newly built and very good

    The room was lovely, very comfortable.

    AC doesnt work. When i told them, it was replaced with a fan. Dust in the window. I booked online but they were waiting for a email from booking.com to check me in.

    Staff pleasant, helpful. Bedroom clean.

    Bedroom furnished very sparsley and cheaply with junk, as was main areas of hotel. Badly in need of a facelift.

    The comfort of the bed and the food

    The building is getting very tired and the night porters heavy steps on the floor outside Rm 22 kept me awake.

    Very quiet good secure parking good service from friendly staff.

    Shower not easy to use and only tepid water. That's why comfort only rated fair.

    Location good for Heathrow, Indian restaurant on premises, parking fairly easy. Great shower in bathroom.

    Weird, not credible request from receptionist for photo id, even though I'd stayed before and he had my address, car reg credit card etc. - and he didn't ask the same of the group who checked in after me. I refused - I don't need to prove who I am to an hotel. 'Fusion Menu' advertised on website, turned out not available. In fact the menu on the day was one of the poorest I've seen from any Indian restaurant in any price bracket. On top of that, they got my order wrong. Bedroom pretty basic with a rickety chair. A bit of a let down, not in keeping with the gorgeous old building. In general about Baylis House, what you see is not what you get.

    Food very pleasant I would like a lighter room next time, ie No 08 was very dark room. Food was excellent value for money, Hotel location V Good. Staff excellent. Frank Clewley Staffordshire

    Room Light of No 8. poor, bed too softer mattress for me. Bathroom fine.

    Dirty, smelly and overall absolutely disgusting. The shower was freezing, there were used sanitary products in the cupboard in the bathroom and my room smelt disgusting. I was moved after pointing out the above to the receptionist - the room I moved too had no hot water, one tiny towel and about 3 sheets of loo roll. They couldn't start breakfast early the next morning and the restaurant was shut when we arrived.

    Staff very nice room would have been comfortable if air con was working.

    Very hot and air con did not work we asked them to fix and they did not. Rooms to small.

    Great location for the places we visited impressive look from the outside.

    Although the reception staff were friendly they were very unorganised. Didn't even know the time for breakfast. We didn't bother going to breakfast. I was also not happy that they had to take a copy of my driving licence. The room was very dated and the general maintenance of the building was less than acceptable. We stayed two nights there was no cleaning service no clean towels. We were ready for packing up the last night and drive home during the night. Was def not 4* has loads of potential but a total let down!
