“ Bay lodge was perfect for us & our 2 teenage children. it was a perfect location or us to visit family. mark was very friendly & hospitable. Angela cooked us a wonderful English breakfast. mark allowed us to leave our luggage at the lodge after we checked out so we could see the sights of Eastbourne. ”

Situated on Eastbourne's seafront, this friendly, family-run 4-star guest house has free Wi-Fi and free parking. The town centre is a 10-minute walk away. The Bay Lodge Guest House offers clean and comfortable accommodation. There are 10 rooms, all with en suite facilities with either a bath or a shower. Some rooms have views of the sea or Pavilion Tea Gardens. A full English breakfast is served each morning, with lighter and vegetarian options also available. Breakfast is served from 8:15 to 9:15 and also includes fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt and juices. There is a licensed honesty bar with a TV and a sun lounge, where guests can relax. There is a private car park at the rear of the building but parking is limited and cannot be guaranteed. Parking is also available, free of charge, on the roads at the sides and rear of the property. Please note that there are 2 flights of stairs to the rooms on the second floor, and there is no lift or disabled access. There are also no facilities for smokers. Everything, it was light, airy, clean and fresh. Mark was very helpful when asked where we could eat on our arrival and explained the do's and dont's of the guest house. Breakfast great.

Everything with 3 exceptions Pillows were like blocks of concrete and there was no residential bar. Breakfast period did not cater for early starts. These "faults" would not deter us from returning to this guesthouse.

Very friendly owners, great breakfast, homely room. Very helpful with restaurants & sight seeing advice or current events in Eastbourne. Information book on guest house informative. Too many stairs to top level with heavy bags (attic),no ocean view, no shower. Perhaps leave heating on during the night bit cold having a bath in the morning.

Location - excellent; attention - very good; overall - a very pleasant stay and an encouragement to return. My wife is coeliac; management required us to bring her own coeliac bread and sausages which seemed strange as these are freely available in most, if not all, supermarkets/shops.

Everything! Spotlessly clean, great shower, very comfy bed, perfectly cooked breakfast, great facilities, wonderful views, lots of thought gone into everything and lovely personal touches Free wifi was a bit flaky...but hey, it was free so not really a complaint

Clean and comftable.Friendly,and a good breakfast. Had the weather been better it would have been nice to sit on the balcony (room 5) Cant really think of anything. Not enough on site parking but plenty in the surrounding streets. Nothing really to fault for a good b&b.

Assume he was the manager, buth e was he was brilliant. Despite us arriving in the middle of the day and having to leave at 6am in the morning we were still treated as guests would hope, even ensuring that I had breakfast ready for before 6am as I was due to the run the Brighton Marathon that morning. Thank you, you really helped relax me before the event. Nothing.
