Size of room, which was large by London standards. Very clean, and the cleaning staff were really good at topping up the toiletries, etc., which I find a lot of places don't. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.
The bed was not much more than a camp bed, though to be fair I did get used to it. The shower unit was a bit irritating, but this is typical of most hotels. Apart from these minor grouses, the Bayswater is excellent value for money, and we'll definitely stay there again.
I booked a twin room and was given a large Quad room. The room was clean and fresh. over exceeded my expectations. Public areas are clean and fresh.
The hotel internet was quite expensive. and only available in the main reception area. Night security was concerning that the door was not on buzzer and I was not asked on entry to show my room card or verify my room. I arrived back to the hotel after 1 am
Most things satisfactory
Some rooms had been refurbished but ours hadn't and was a bit scruffy. Light in bathroom kept flickering and we had to ask to have it changed.
charging 1£ for keeping the lugagge for a few hours
The rate included breakfast.
First room was awful; second room *upgrade*over priced. The shower temperature either scalding or freezing; no in between. No tissues in bathroom; 2 tiny packets of shower gel and miniature soap bars and nowhere to rest anything in the shower. Power tools first thing in the morning and appliances running at night. Many TV stations without picture. I take a dim view to an establishment whose front of house is immaculate, but has less than satisfactory interior once the exit door from the lobby opens. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
Breakfast and location
Room is in need of a refurbishment
The reception area
The bedroom was grotty and dull. It felt like we had been shut away in the basement of an old building!
Compaired to the price, it is a good deal, especially for London. Just don't have high expectations. Location and breakfast is good. The room itself was rather old, beds not too comfy. But for just two nights it was good deal. If you intend to stay longer, I would have picked another place to stay.
Good staff, have luggage room to put our stuff while we going abroad. Make our holiday easier and convenient.
The location of the room is far from each other. We book for 3 rooms and get separated. Low water pressure at the 4th floor. The way to the rooms are liked maze.
Hotel reception and breakfact area very good - staff very polite and helpful - good location
It is just a shame the rest of the Hotel is not like reception area it is like 2 different hotels certainly needs decorating and revamp - bedrooms and corridors
Good location close to station and well connected. Staff were friendly. Would recommend if you need a cheap room for a short stay. Room was simple clean and tidy.
They have wifi but only if you stay in reception and only if you pay for it which should be expressed clearly in the booking process as I then probably would have selected another hotel.
Breakfast was almost good
location bad room is in basement small and dirty and narrow some of the staff were rude, even at the breakfast someone from the hotel cleaners took the plate i was eating on my sandwich
Good breakfast , friendly staff , managed to park right outside for free as it was a weekend.
Shower didn't work very well , was either boiling hot or freezing cold , there were long black hairs on the bed from the maid I assume , bed wasn't comfortable and the tv reception was poor , but then again it wasn't the most expensive hotel but if they advertise a working shower and tv that's what I expect !
the room is big.
Clean and bright lobby Fairly friendly staff Breakfast was fair for price paid Good location.
Single room looked like the inside of a prison cell and smelled very musty. I felt claustrophobic the moment I stepped in. Bathroom tiles and sink yellowish. No cell phone signal in my room at all, and to make matters worse wi-fi was not free.
OK, I booked a cheap room but it was a underground room (no window) near the lift machine : horribly noisy ! So avoid room 5 !
Good location, near to underground and bus stations, shops and restaurants. Good breakfast as well.
Wish there are more power points in the room.
Location of the hôtel
Room in underground
Room was spacious with comfortable bed
Wifi not available in the room Breakfast was below par We were asked to pay for Luggage storage while we were not checked in(not fair if you are a customer)
Their special offer gave us the chance to stay for 35 gbp instead of 70. Breakfast was simple but good
Very noisy place, very small, the bedding very dirty especially the matrass proptector.we couldn't sleep all night i was at the basement. Fire alarm makes it worse.i would not go back or recommend anyone to that place
The hotel is very very well situated near Hyde Park and bus and tube stations so from there it's very convenient to visit major tourist spots even on foot. Though the room was a bit small and the Internet, which you have to pay extra for was not available there, it was very clean and comfortable.
The wi-fi is not included in the price so you have to pay two pounds for it but even when you do so you have to use it in the lobby :( Some receptionists are not acquainted with the transportation system there so she informed us that it wouldn't work for five days (25th-31st December)!!!??? Generally speaking very friendly and kind staff .
Location very good. Staff are friendly.
The staff esp the lady manager with headscarf was very helpful in entertaining to our queries. Will definitely come back if we are to visit London again.
