fantastic views of the area
Spotlessly clean, wonderful view Fresh fruit salad for breakfast Option of dinner
We were 2 wedding guests on the island for a wedding in Mount Stuart. Our room had a magnificent view, lovely bedding, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and a very useful sewing kit.The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfasts delicious- especially the porridge. I would love to come back to stay at this hotel as a base for more exploration of the area.
Clean, well loved and cared for hotel in an excellent location. Lovely, comfortable room with an outstanding view. Owners friendly and helpful without being pushy. Would recommend.
good value would stay again
views.... excellent... nice large comfortable bed....
bathroom a little dated... floors sloping...
We were made to feel very welcome and were extremely well attended to throughout our short stay. We would certainly stay here again without any hesitation and thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.
There was nothing not to like about this excellently family run hotel
Breakfast & lovely high ceilings in rooms, wonderful sea view.
Shower room dated & hot - unable to open window / ventilate
The view from bedroom. Breakfasts Comfortable bed
Two flights of stairs to bedroom
I was lead to believe that Rothesay was a lively seaside town. While this is true I felt away from it at the Bayview. It was quiet yet comfortable and friendly. The views were outstanding and the rooms so cosy even on the wet miserable nights. I was sorry I couldn't stay longer
Great views over the bay Freshly cooked breakfast Clean, comfortable accomodation Friendly staff
1hr window for breakfast between 8.15-9.15.
For once I had a single room with a spectacular view over the bay. Good range of choices at breakfast. Good value.
The location so close to Town, the big beds, views and the information and advice given
Perhaps provide Wi-fi.
Great view of the bay with hills in the background.
Going down the landing to the toilet.
Food was excellent. Owner very helpful and friendly. Let us store bikes under shelter. Bed enormous and v. comfortable. View over bay stupendous-good photo of Waverley passing by.
The 2 seater sofa in bedroom. Mixed fruit for breakfast! The location of hotel. The family in 3 rooms close to each other!
No fridge. The yellow curtains that did not block out the light!
Its location was lovely..hotel was lovely too...
The stairs up to room as my mum struggled with these.
The sea view, room quality, home cooked food and easy access to the town and ferry.
The stairs to the second floor might be a little difficult for some people but not for us. 6-30 pm dining may not suit everybody but nice restaurants are close by in the town if preferred.
Great choice for breakfast Free Wi-Fi Location to Town View over the Bay
1hr window for breakfast 8.15-9.15am The Stairs to top
Warm welcome and good value for money . Fabulous sea view from our bedroom and the bed was massive and very comfy . Lots to choose from at breakfast .
Was just a bit far out of town for us . Lovely stroll when sunny but different matter when caught out in the rain.
Irene and Andy are lovely people who work hard to keep their hotel in tip top condition with no reasonable request being refused. The beds are extremely comfortable and the cooked breakfast is superb. There is also a choice of cereals, yoghurt, orange juice and fresh fruit available too. I opened the curtains to find a young stag in the back garden, a lovely sight to waken up to.
Wi fi was a bit patchy and then I realised that my phone was running out of battery, so in fairness it could have been my phone.
The friendliness of the proprietors.
Bed room very good. Lounge fantastic. Well looked after. They have obviously gone to a lot of trouble to keep everything fresh - so many hotels of that period can look run-down. Food excellent quality and both Irene and Alan very helpful.
Bath room a bit oppressive with the same marble effect boards on all walls and the ceiling. Also the soap dispenser would be better sighted nearer the wash basin. The food was fine for us but others reading this should be aware that there are just two choices for the evening meal and you have to decide at breakfast.
