I liked -the hotel's proximity to the seafront. - the provision of an extra bed (additional charge) as requested -the availability of a heated pool at the hotel for our use inclusive in price - a vegetarian option on the breakfast menu - a welcome greeting at reception upon arrival by female member of staff - the availability of parking in front of the hotel - efficient breakfast staff who brought us a highchair for our 1 year old I didn't like - the provision of small portable tv in room/ larger screen more desirable - no priority as hotel residents for parking out front -the hotel request that pool users do not wear swimwear through hotel-however no showers available in pool area -room windows requiring cleaning -light fixture in the centre of room needing de-cobwebbing - a shower attachment instead of an electric shower - high room temperature-unable to regulate

Nothing at all. Sorry there was one good thing about it, it was the road leading away from the hotel. Everything. It was damp, small, shower had 2 temperatures very hot and extra very hot. We were placed in a area along a corridor if we were sligtly over sized we would have had problems getting up the stairs. Towels were like sandpaper. Decor in the bathroom was very 1970's chicken tiles on the wall. I was not happy at all about my stay at The Best western Beechcroft Hotel and it was not value money.

Quiet location.Adequate parking.Dealt with requests promptly and efficiently Bedside light pulls inconveniently located, and both pulling-knobs were missing, although apparently they had only been installed for a week or two Siting of the grab-handle over bath was too high to be convenient for elderly visitors

Right by the sea front Good breakfast The general feel of the hotel is 'budget' rather than the 'quality' you would expect from Best Western. I have stayed in many of this chains hotels worldwide and have to say this is the worst yet.

The hotel's situation was excellent with the staff being professional, friendly and very helpful. It was a clean and tidy hotel and the food was also very nice. The room was very small and without a view. Although the room was clean and tidy I expected a much high attention to detail from such a respectable company. I booked the hotel through reputation but did feel let down by the end of my stay. It was mentioned to me that because of my late booking I recieved the small room but on checking in I overheard a gentleman being offered a room with a view for the same price as I had paid and he hadn't even booked in advance.

Location so close to the sea. Choice of single course or full dinner. Plenty of vegetarian menus. Lack of warmth and character. It did not make most of its excellent location next to the sea wall. It could have been so much more attractive in every way, Lounge most uninviting and Restaurant very bleak. What a pity!

Helpfulness of staff with regard to our toddler and providing warm milk/acess to fridge for his food and drink. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Quiet location, right behind beach promenade so excellent for short or long walks on the sea front. Double room had enough space for a travel cot without tripping over each other or having to squeeze around the bed. Wider range for room service and later than 6pm would have been handy - but only because once our toddler was in bed we were stuck in the room!

Lovely outside area, overlooking the sea. Pathway to walk along the seafront at end of carpark. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were all freshly cooked and delicious. Clean and comfortable without being too posh!

“We had a good welcome and so did our dog. Dogs bowls and towels available. The room overlooked Marine Gardens and the Sea. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Dinner was inexpensive..as advertised..home cooked food and very tasty. The full English breakfast was excellent. We couldn't fault the hotel at all and thought it great value for money.” Gillian, Reservations |
