nasty reception poor staff
Area was ok, barmaid was lovely. They are unfortunately the only 2positives.
The room was tiny & dirty. Water was coming in through the window. Breakfast was a box of cereal on top of fridge. Window cracked, very noisy. Im not fussy with hotels bit this is he worst ive ever stayed in & Ive paid less!!!
Spacious rooms. Clean enough for a stop over
That it didn't open early to drop luggage off

Bright, clean nice room to be in with a fridge. Friendly, helpful staff. Really homely place. Regular buses.
The only problem & such a pity is the noise of the traffic hard staying asleep.
Good location, wanted to be close to Finsbury park. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and polite. Would stay again if in the area.
Bit disappointed with the breakfast as it was only one choice of cereal, but we went over to the supermarket to buy our own.
The first room we got was very cramps, as was the bathroom. And then at 11 pm the roof started leaking (we did then get a better room, size- and water wise). Noise from the car radios - red signal in front of the house.
We needed to check in early, firstly we were told to come back at 1 pm, but then we explained that we sent a special request and kind staff let us check in early.
No reception. Nobody there when we arrived (9 AM).
Location is right in the Turkish neighborhood, interesting shops and restaurants abound! 10 min walk from subway, very nice Finsbury park next door. Not that many subway stations to city centre. Hotel staff neutral but efficient, rooms basic but tidy, simple cereal breakfast with juice in room actually really nice.
No 24h reception, actually no reception in traditional sense at all, the pub personnel downstairs handle all hotel customer issues when the pub is open, otherwise closed.
excellent hotel for this price: Near underground, shops, cafes. a kettle with tea and coffee. Room is small, but in London all the same.
The location was quite good because of the park underground and local life in general, a pub too
The place is not and should not be classified as a 2 star hotel with breakfast. The breakfast was extra money from a cafe two doors down the high street. On offer is a box of bran flakes a dish and a child's orange juice in room. Not a hotel breakfast to me. The room was cell like with wafer thin walls A very low budget quality for my top price paid. I paid less staying at Hotel Russell with SuperBreak with first night dinner for two nights. A week earlier. Will be writing further regarding this.
Beaconsfield is a great Hotel. I recommend my comfortable, generous & clean homely stay. Kettle, tea & coffee etc., biscuits & the first thing I have ever seen & used in a room a fridge! with milks & soft drinks. its terrific having such luxury. .
It's a room above a pub...I didn't have high expectations and the room was fine. I chose it for location, not luxury and it suited me just fine.
It's not luxurious and to say breakfast is included is a stretch. There was cereal, milk and juice boxes in the fridge.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We needed early check in and this was no problem. The staff couldn't do enough to help.
Staff where very friendly very helpful, and so welcoming
Location, and staff
Everything was great. Our room was lovely and beautifully decorated and it was all spotless! I would definitely stay here again.
24hr room access. Clean. Ok for one night stay!
Further from finsbury tube than expected.
It was in a convenient place for where I was going, Cafe Oto in Dalston and it was very good value
I struggled to get the shower to work with hot water.
The room was clean and comfortable
We found the pillows too thin. Found another pair in cupboard but the were filthy. It also mentioned 'breakfast included' on the offer, we presumed cooked.
Perfect location for the gig at Finsbury Park, can definitely recommend. Excellent value for money for a budget hotel.
Not bad rooms for a pub, Helpful staff, a fridge in the room, good location, close to shops and take aways, good atmosphere, drinks in the fridge, a nice pub with character which I would stay in again.
Ceiling had a leak at some point, room was a bit musty smelling I thought. Carpet was a bit worn, and bathroom ceiling had some brown stains which looked like they could be wiped off, but otherwise the rooms were clean. But the owners are currently doing some refurbishments which look good.
I was shocked to find on arrival to the hotel that I would be staying in a flat (apartment) about half a kilometer away. Nervously, I accepted. They provided me a complimentary taxi to the flat. When I arrived, it was modern, spacious, and included a kitchenette, TV, 2 queen beds, and a nice shower/bathroom. All this was on nice, wood floors in a friendly neighborhood. This left you not far from Manor House metro station, and the best pizzeria I've ever eaten at on the way. Aside from pizza, there was cereal, milk, and laundry machines in the basement at your disposal. Plus, great private Wi-Fi!
Though they accommodated, they normally do not accept American credit cards (without a chip). Guests be warned!
Good transport to get into center of London
Location a bit seedy.
This was certainly one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed at in London. In spite of the fact that it's a busy pub there was no noise or disturbance.
They offer 'breakfast' but frankly they needn't bother. The juice was OK but the 'plastic' milk and individual box of cereal wasn't really worth it. There are excellent breakfasts on sale for less than a tenner, just a few doors up the road. Eat out!
The only good thing was the hot water
The smoke from the garden was terrible in the room, the external door for guest use did not lock, the bathroom was very, very small and the carpet cleaner sat outside our room for most of the visit.
