Good location to visit museum nice restaurant in site.
Rather small room, over pick up point so as Xmas a little bit of noise wifi only in reception.
All the staff were amazing....so friendly, helpful and genuinely wanted to give their best.10 stars from me!
Friendly staff, comfortable hotel in a grand location, excellent food and service.
Not receiving our early morning call .!
Staff helped sort out a problem with the booking that was my error.
The bed was so awful. It was soft and the mattress was in desperate need of changing for something not resembling a marsh mallow. The hotel was ok for the price we paid booking last minute, but was a little tired.
The grounds of the hotel are very nice, and staff friendly
Room was very small
Lovely hotel, lots of character and friendly staff
Location, fantastic area, Restaurant was excellent.
We had a lovely stay at Western Beamish. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely surroundings, a bar with several of their own brewed beer options, areas to walk. I heard there is a museum also but we didn't have time to visit it. All the staff we met/dealt with were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm (It was November and we had both windows wide open throughout our stay).
It was further away from town than I was expecting, which resulted in paying £7-8 two to four times a day for taxis (Just something to keep in mind if you're visiting someone in Stanley). I thought breakfast was a little expensive. Wifi was not everywhere as stated, and was very poor in the area of the lobby where it was available but I was told there was a problem with it at the time.
The bed was very comfy
Staff in the resturant fantastic, cheerful, friendly-food great
Twin room should of overlooked gardens-overlooked yard- too small for elderly parents both with mobility problems, couldn't even walk between single beds Room miles away from everything so had to walk quite a way. Not suitable for elderly. No help with luggage had to wait till exactly 3pm to check in
The building, surroundings, décor, comfort and staff! Also great places to eat nearby.
No mobile phone reception!
excellent breakfast and really well set out massive bathroom with lovely toiletries beautiful public rooms
Really attractive hotel, great facilities. Staff were very friendly.
Sticky marks on head rest of bed. No tea in the room No wifi
The helpful, friendly and caring staff enhance the old charm of the building.
The reception area turned into a free for all on the morning we left as people were charged entry to the Christmas market. We were unable to sit and say our good byes to the others who had especially stayed following a reception the previous night.
I booked this in march 2014 partly because it was my partners birthday but main reason was my sons wedding! Everything was perfect! Our room was fantastic and a little extra touch was a bottle of champagne ! The whole day and stay was fantastic! Staff are so friendly and genuine
The mixer tap in the bathroom was loose and I could not turn the tap on and off! We could not open any of the windows in our room ! We turned the radiator off and our salvation was a fan! I did tell reception in the morning and she did say they had a night porter who would of helped! On the whole a slight glitch that did not spoil the big day .
Delighted with all aspects of our stay in this handsome building! The room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the food in the Stables Bar was wonderful. We certainly intend to stay here again.
We happened upon this hotel and were absolutely delighted to find a friendly, comfortable hotel with amole parking and a super restaurant. We shall come again.
Grandness and history of the placed
Difficulty getting to our wedding function room.
This hotel is first class all the way. We have stayed in lots of hotels up and down the country and it comes in the top two without a doubt! Breakfast excellent. Stables Restaurant excellent! Location excellent! Staff excellent! We will be back
There was nothing to dislike. So what if there is very little Wi-Fi. You are in the middle of some of the best countryside in England so just enjoy the surroundings and relax
Location Views Friendly staff
No Wifi in room for phone Poor signage in hotel making it hard to find restaurant Bedside lamp didn't work
The location and the history of Beamish Hall was well explained by various members of your excellent staff. The three course meal was one of the top three we have ever had on our frequent Hotel visits. Our compliments to a five star Chef and a five star team of staff, including the Stables with their fantastic range of Real Ales. A special mention to the background Staff, Cleaners etc. Everything we asked of them was achieved without any complaints. Well done 10/10
English breakfast was too dry. At£12.50 it was poor value. The Toilet access at the Stables was upstairs and difficult for my Wife and me.
We have stayed at the Beamish Hall Hotel before and have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the rooms clean and comfortable.
The room we stayed in on this occasion was quite small but comfortable so no complaints. We did find the Stables Bar however not up to the standard that it had been on our previous visit. Could not get a signal or WiFi
we attended the bonfire and fireworks at beamish museum which was only a short taxi ride away from the hotel. Excellent pub nearby called the shepherd and shepherdess. loved the stables bar and restaurant
nothing all good
The wedding we attended
Couldn't check in untill 3.00pm but had to be out by 11a.m . The room was loke sleeping in a cupboard. Disgustingly small.
