Was impressed and appreciated that the hotel was able to cope with three extra children at very short notice. The rooms are large and roomy. Appreciated being able to make a cup of tea. Had lovely hot water in the shower. Everything clean and the bed very comfortable.
The following are suggestions: 1) Shower - would do something to stop water from being able to go on the floor - also possibly have a soap dish on the wall. 2) a shelf in the bathroom 3) a chair in the bedroom.
friendliness of staff location good sized bedroom and bathroom
no whole wheat/healthier type cereal at breakfast shower did not have proper screen to keep water in shower
The room was excellent. Much better than expected.
Size of room,good food
The size of the room
No reception open upon arrival
Lovely Room Big Bed Food very nice
bathroom cold no heating
There was a wedding reception on downstairs and doors slamming all night long. A lousy night.
Very convenient access if you are visiting both Glasgow and Edinburgh. The food in the restaurant is amazing value!
They didn't have the right booking information, price and room.
The breakfast was excellent and the bed was surprisingly comfortable.
The room was a bit spartan. Room 11 has an extractor or something outside which is continuously whirring. In the evening the staff didn't seem very friendly - maybe they were too rushed.
Good service from all of the staff, very efficient aand very polite. ordered food was delivered quite quickly, because I requested a variation of the menu, it was delivered exactly as requested. A very good hotel, very good rooms and very well run overall. It will be my stopping hotel for the future
The standard of the room was excellent, especially the bathroom. Beautiful big bath and super powerful shower. Large bed and plenty of room beside couch and television. Food was great and we were extremely impressed with the value. Plenty of staff, who were all very friendly and helpful.
No shelves in bathroom for toiletries, also no dressing table. Made it hard to put make-up on.
LOCATION AND ROOMS
THEY STOP SERVING FOOD AT 21. 00 HOURS I ARRIVED AFTER A LONG JOURNEY AND WAS TOLD NO FOOD AFTER 21.00 VERY DISAPOINTED AS THERE WAS NO WHERE ELSE TO EAT
Everything. The room was a nice size and everything worked and I got fantastic service in the restaurant early evening.
Nothing. It was all fantastic.
We arrived just before 8pm and we were still able to have an evening meal which was excellent both in quality and value.
My bed was a little hard for my liking but my husband thought it was fine.
Food in restaurant was excellent and good value.
We chose this hotel as they didn't bump up their price just because the Ryder Cup was nearby. Fabulous room, we were given the honeymoon suite which is gorgeous. Nice meal at a very reasonable price. Free parking.
Bit noisy in the night with other guests coming in late and leaving early
This was our second stay at Beancross and it won't be our last. Lovely clean room with massive bath. Breakfast was a lovely full Scottish.
We had one of the smaller rooms but I suppose someone has to. Beans were a bit on the cold side.
Clean, large rooms with tea nd coffee, har drier, ironing board etc,. Quiet location close to major roads. This is my second visit and I will using it again on all my future visits.
the location was great close to the train station also to the falkirk wheel. the food at the restaurant (both dinner and breakfast) was wonderful also. very accomidating staff.
Room was roomy and comfortable and very clean
Just a few technical niggles, like the extractor fan in the bathroom did not work; we could not find the switch that worked the overbed lamp.
Very pleased with all aspects of our stay.
Restaurant seemed to be very popular with locals. Nicely cooked breakfast In the room there was a little alcove with mirror and plug next to it for drying your hair.(very rare in even the best hotels) £60 for bed and breakfast during the commonwealth games was a bargain.
I loved the New York room! Was totally stunning didn't expect it to be so big , will most certain be returning
Room withviewof roof
