Very Friendly Staff Quality of rooms Well looked after and cared for Excellent food
Great rooms, great pub and atmosphere, great food and service
Location & food.
Quiet village location, attractive pub, comfortable modern rooms and very good restaurant.
Restaurant service was very slow. We didn't get our first course until we'd been sitting at the table for almost an hour, though we had booked the time the previous day. Fortunately the food was excellent.
Great accommodation and staff, quality amenities
Wifi in hotel not in room
Great location which was close to oxford and it had a lovely country feel to it
The separate room 'upstairs' was wonderful - no noise, very clean, modern and fitted with a lovely bathroom. The restaurant is also worth a visit - lovely food and a great choice of drinks.
Myself and my partner stayed in room 5 after we were upgraded. I'd planned this trip for my boyfriends birthday and wanted something special. This hotel and room had the wow factor with super king bed, jucuzzi bath and tv in the bathroom. The little touches in the room made it really special and home from home. Little handmade biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge and bathrobes. The staff were lovely, location was nice and quiet. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit, cereal, toast and more available to help yourself to and a massive cooked breakfast. Overall a very special stay thank you.
Unfortunately we didn't have the best nights sleep as the mattress was lumpy and the springs were digging in abit. The food in the restaurant was all expensive and we ended up going into town. A few simpler options would be a great asset to people staying at the hotel.
Very helpful staff, great accommodation, good food was well looked after with food intolerances, clean and large room.
Room was clean
Breakfast service needs reviewing
Relaxed atmosphere Friendly staff Old world charm mixed with modern technology spacious free car park
Great food, staff and everything has been done to a very high standard
Shower could do with a little bit more power.
Great double shower and quiet large bedroom.
Quite expensive. Breakfast service. No mushrooms or black pudding.
Best room we have stayed in. Staff were attentive but not obtrusive, while being extremely helpful. Food was great and we would definitely detour to stay there again.
The only small negative was the dune that was a little heavy for summer. Of course excessive warmth is not something that we associate with the UK
Location,facilities ,staff and excellent breakfast
Restricted evening menu unless you like fish, very poor wifi in our room unable to log in on ipad at all
The room was very clean & spacious lots of room for our travel cot. We enjoyed at lovely meal in the restaurant before settling down for the night in a big comfy bed. Would recommend to anyone to stay.
Room was great, meals top class and very good service
Outstanding accommodation, staff & location. The bedrooms & the pub certainly had the wow factor. Lovely food presented perfectly. Had a fabulous weekend holiday. I can highly recommend this quinticentually "Old England" pub in the most beautiful little village only 4 miles from the centre of Oxford. You won't be disappointed!
Cute room - low ceilings but stylish and fun. Beautiful pub with a lot of seating and different rooms. Lovely garden and outdoor seating.
A lovely place to stay. Food was excellent. Room was wonderful. A quiet location. All in all a superb place to stay.
Size of bedroom Double shower Clean with comfortable beds and crisp sheets Breakfast for all tastes Staff at breakfast really good with guest service.
Creaky floorboard upstairs
Beautiful place, fantastic staff and the food was delicious. Loved the beams in our room and the bathroom was a great size with a lovely bath and shower. I also really appreciated a full size kettle, mugs, plenty of tea bags and real milk!
Wow was it hot in the top room! We did have a fan but it made little difference. If Britain ever has such a hot summer again (unlikely) they should consider air con! :)
Simple, tasteful but comfortable room. We liked the selection of teas that were provided too, with real milk. The restaurant was spacious and the service first class, as was the food. They know how to run a business.
The hotel atmosphere was great. the facilities were good.
Being tucked away in a small village eating options are basically limited to the hotel and this is where you get stung. Food was a bit pricey.
Everything was first class, service, food, staff and amenities. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
