The price, location between Birmingham and Highlands and river Clyde location. Spacious, modern rooms, Apple Mac nice idea but too small for rooms. The staff are abysmal. Don't be fooled by the 4 star rating, this is a 3 star hotel max, with 1 star staff. I selected the king room on the basis of the glorious riverside views, the first room I was given had a riverside view only by standing next to the window. It also had a minibar with no bar. I was moved to a room with the best view of the river, 365, three windows, 2 overlooking the river, 1 the erskine bridge. However the fridge was totally missingthis time (was told they overheat but why was the other switched on?), Anti-scald device broke, window catches broke, tile grout filthy, draught beer flat, bar food overcooked. Lifts rattle and seem cheap.

The highlight was the extraordinarily good food in the dining room. Richard gave superb service and it was a very unexpected aspect of my stay. Too hot - was not able to turn down the thermostat more than a few degrees... and this is from a Texan who is used to great heat!!

The restaurant was very nice, food was good and the service was fair. The breakfast choice was good, nice and fresh cooked food. Reception was efficient and friendly. Bar prices were reasonable. Could have done with more pillows without asking. Not sure about the Imac television, kept freezing. Room was comfortable The wait for a breakfast table was unacceptable. We got down there for 9.15 on a Sunday morning and didn't get a table until after 9.30 this meant we had to rush as we were heading off to play golf so couldn't really enjoy it. Coffee and toast took forever even after 3 members of staff asking if we had ordered. We had finished our cooked breakfast before it arrived.

The staff in every area and job were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was very good. We were up for a funeral so not a fun trip but we did enjoy it and would recommend the hotel for business and pleasure. We enjoyed walking on the paths by the R|iver Clyde and sitting outside. A big plus was the amount of parking and it is free! Nothing to dislike - even the weather was lovely!

This was my second time at this hotel and both times I loved it. Staff, location, facilities, panoramic views, free parking and iMac in rooms makes it a perfect place to stay. No other hotel could be better than beardmore in Glasgow. I stayed in execute room which overlooked the beautiful Clyde river and erskine bridge and the price wasn't too bad either. Fridge refil should have been done daily however during my four nights stay it was just done once apart from the first night.

Great room and the location means you are away from traffic noise. Was disappointed with breakfast as it appears to have been cooked in fat, and also overcooked, although I would still stay there again.

The rooms are spacious, even at entry level, and very comfortable and clean. The amenities are fantastic - inclusion of an iMac in every room is brilliant for the business traveller, although probably a bit too small to function well as a television if sat on the bed. The staff are friendly, and happy to accommodate. The location is only really ideal for people who are at a conference in the hotel, or else have business in and about the adjoining hospital. Breakfast is not included, but this is becoming increasingly common with hotels today.

the staff, very friendly and approachable. relaxed atmosphere. the fire alarm, which went off while i had my son in the bath! and my door key, which, at the end of a long night, and whilst carrying my sleeping toddler, failed to open my door.

I was looking for something with a nice pool etc for myself, my 5 year old and my 67 year old mother to relax. This hotel met my requirements and I'm glad I booked it. Free apple mac computers to use in all rooms was definitely a bonus with free access to the internet. Will definitely be using this hotel again and have already reccommended it to friends and family. The only complaint I have is the heating in the room. The room was very cold so I phoned reception to ask about turnng the heating up and she explained how to do so. I did this, it warmed up slightly but we were still all very cold.
