Disappointment. Looked scruffy and unkempt. Couldn't even get in the shower...doors too narrow. (I am not huge).Very old fashioned. Whole place needs a good makeover. |

Staff were friendly enough, let us have a lie in - extra 40 mins - cheers - the room we stayed in was of a decent size and nicely decorated - quite modern - you can see it has been re decorated recently. Not bad , nice and clean. Upon approach to hotel - it looks scary and dingy..... Bit like something off a horror movie, once greated its was ok , could do with updating decor - very old and it shows, the breakfast in the morning was served very hot which was good however it was floating in grease and fat - not very nice , just a little more care when serving up - eggs , sausage and bacon especially. |

The room was clean and quiet, well serviced and at a very reasonable rate. Breakfast was good. It is an old building in need of paint and renovation, but at the going rate still a good deal. |

it was advertised as having a bar but looks like they lost there licence or just shut it down themselfs, very dissapointed as i would never stay in a hotel if it did'nt have somewhere to relax and have a drink. |

The position of the hotel was excellent for our purpose, on main thoroughfare, near amenities & near the university. It was as expected; cheap & cheerful which suited us totally. The beds were clean & comfortable & the breakfast was freshly cooked & substantial.Staff were pleasant & polite. The hotel is undoubtedly shabby but unfortunately not chic. It could do with a RE-FURB. |

Civilised staff, excellent breakfasts and interesting football memorabilia. The hotel really does need updating - both inside and out. Even redecoration, a few pictures and better lighting would make a massive difference to the rooms. |

Nothing much, it was very old fashioned and when we went to the room, well all I can say is "if I hadnt already paid I certainly would not have been staying there at all" It smelt fusty when we went to our room n it was very dated, it could ave done with decoratating. The room n the state of the so called en-suite, the shower ad brown fust up the sides. |
