on the main road clean towels everyday poorly decorated, very dated. awful smell from the drainage in the bathroom. staff were rude, asked us to vacate the breakfast room as they were ready to clear down just before 9am. the beds were lumpy. not good value for money, could have stayed in a travel lodge for the same price. The hotel smelt musty. Would never stay here again!

Very affordable. Small hotel with own parking. Comfortable beds. (We didn't stay for breakfast.) The pub across the street - the White Horse Inn. The rooms are tiny, like a dormitory room, just room enough for the bed and a small sink. But not a problem. The hotel is not in a pleasant walkable area.

Hotel was a bit dated but my room was clean, tidy and warm. The hotel staff were friendly and polite and bus straight to town outside so takes 20 mins to be in central manchester.

The building looked derelict from the outside and was no better on the inside! Rooms were dated as was the whole hotel. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. On the whole I would not return and would definitely not recommend!

Stayed in room 7: Decent size room, bed comfortable, temperature comfortable. On site parking. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Stayed in room 7: Bedding was a bit old and worn. Parking is a bit tight when busy. Very minor leak in the ceiling at one point but it went fairly quickly and didnt reappear, possibly caused by room above.

Parking, easy to find, couple of retaurants within walking distance No wifi, no hairdryer, in desperate need of refurbishment, could hear other guests conversations, black mould in shower, shower cubicle sliding doors barely wide enough for me to get through, limited choice for breakfast for wheat intolerant vegetarian.

The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking was available. Manchester city centre was easily accessible. The hotel was in desperate need of a revamp. The paper was peeling, carpets were threadbare in reception area and the grounds were very overgrown.

The location was only a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station and a 15 minute drive to manchester town centre. The staff were lovely and the brew making facilities in our room were fantastic!

Good value for money, bed comfortable & good lounge area downstairs. Digital TV signal poor (especially BBC1 & 2) on 2nd floor. Wi-Fi signal also weak, even in the lounge on occasions

Across the road from the hospital, the target of my visit 1.Very old , totally exhausted building 2.Security features are almost non-existing, the room door opens by a key 3.The carpet and curtains are very old 4.The breakfast is really embarrassing, you need to wait 10 min to get a single egg, which represents one of three breakfast options! 5.No surrounding restaurant (only 3) 6.In summary, I will not stay here again.

The welcome is always nice and friendly. It was just down the road from out friends house. Its been aprox. Year since we stayed there and it was clean but in need of decoration and refurb. We stayed at the W.end it was noticed nothing has been done to the place, it was not clean there was bits of fluff hanging from the ceiling, the windows were dirty and there was alot of mould and damp in the shower area. Also for the first time the service at breakfast time was not good, my husband was still eating his cerial and they brought out our main breakfast which meant he either left his cerial or ate it cold, they normally check and take away bowls before bringing hot food out. There would have to be drastic changes for us to stay again as it has gone down hill by alot.

It was nice and quiet there, we came and went as we pleased. Free wifi good. It was clean and very nice and warm, shops opposite for food and supplies etc. Friendly welcome and lively friendly waitress at breakfast. Just to be picky... Breakfast was a bit cold both days, could go with being served a bit faster. Bit of a trek from the city centre.

Proximity to Salford Hospital. Clean bedding and towels. Teapot! Appalling state of room decor, ingrained dirt in room and shower, poor standard of breakfast (single poached egg on single slice of toast).
