Area information

Chester offers exclusive shopping and a vibrant nightlife. This modern, exciting city, however, has been shaped by 2,000 years of history. Encircled by city walls, Chester's most unique feature is the 13th century 'Rows' - 2 tiers of enticing shops, running through its main streets.

Destinations for history hunters include the beautiful Gothic Chester Cathedral and Britain's largest Roman amphitheatre, built to entertain 7,000 spectators.

Magnificent in scale and breathtaking in beauty, Chester is a vibrant city with graceful architecture.
