Breakfast was very good value but avoid the "scones" they were terrible. Free parking.
Limited choice for dinner for us (veggies).
Rooms were fab. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.
the building from the outside
the room, bed caused a sleepless night and wouldn't class it as 4 star
staff were very friendly and professional
guests kept us awake all night and even banged on our bedroom door at 5.15 am ! didn't get any sleep horrendous !!!!!!
It was far too hot, even after turning the heating off completely. That is the only thing I can personally fault this hotel on.
price of a glass of wine and local beer
Comfortable room. 1 hr free wifi. Very courteous staff.
It's a big venue so can be a long walk to breakfast / bar. Not a problem just requires planning!
We liked the swimming pool. One of the cards that is used to access our rooms didn't work properly. Someone came and rectified the problem within minutes.
The fact that there was no Jacuzzi. One of my daughters has mobility issues, and would have benefited from the use of a Jacuzzi. Plus my wife likes to use it as well. The bathrooms in the bedrooms were good and clean, but could have been colour co-ordinated. The tiles were a different colour to the bath and toilet.
No parking near reception a pain with kids Breakfast could be nicer a bit bland
Room small and dark.Miles to walk to dining room and check in. Reception nice...bedroom pokey and dull
The place has been modernised, but the standard is not very good.
The facilities and service very basic. There is no room service after 11pm, and nowhere to get drink or eat after then, even the vending machine was not working. There is nowhere nearby open at that time! The bed sheets were not very clean, and they contained hair from previous guests! The wifi was not good and only free for 1 hour. The room size was too small for the superior option. The hot water tap took a long time for the temperature to warm up. And the reception staff will not answer the phone after midnight.
Shower No continental breakfast
Had to catch a flight from heathrow and we couldnt get in contact with reception to book a taxi. We were the other side of this large hotel so by the time we packed and got to reception we were already against time. When we got to reception there was a huge queue of people and we couldnt get a taxi booked for as they had no staff. we had to get the telephone number from the cabs outside (booked by other people) to call one ourselves with a 20 minute wait. We got to our gate on last calls.
The hotel is extremely clean and very modern. It is set in a quiet estate and the only noise is from the occasional aircraft that passes overhead, although you cannot hear this from your room. The bedroom was very comfortable and well presented. It is also a short drive or taxi ride to Windsor high street.
The hotel is enormous and the walk from reception to the rooms is surprisingly long, although this is an observation and not a criticism.
The room was small with no air-conditioning. The bathroom was very dated with mould all around the bath. The shower attachment would only work if it was lower than the bath taps. Definitely not worth the money I paid.
Beautiful location. Very pleased with the accommodation and hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean and inviting. I would definately book again.
Was not impressed with the evening buffer meal, although breakfast was wonderful.
The constant broken sleep from screaming children and a couple locked out of their room with their children still inside when reception did not attend to their need to get in for over 1/2 hour if not more. I have children and would be appalled if they made such noises from 5am!! The staff were vacant and didn't even enquire about my stay. The maintenance work in the bathroom was dreadful, the bed was like sleeping on a sea of springs, there was no hot water, the shower screen didn't fit I could go on.... not pleasant in the slightest.
Loved being able to open windows and get fresh air. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were fantastic...friendly and helpful.
Not accessible via bus or train without having to walk a bit.
The setting was beautiful with well maintained gardens and loads of parking.
The bedroom was hot and we could not open the window because it was next to a doorway which was used during the night as other guests returned to their rooms and would keep us awake.( I was surprised the rooms weren't air-conditioned. ) The staff at breakfast had to be asked for tea and coffee nothing was offered, we had ask for toast and side plates. Just more attention to detail as the setting is fantastic and ones expectations were higher so it was a bit disappointing.
Difficult to get food if you arrive late and as we had booked it after a long return flight we wanted a bit more comfort and to be able to order food.
The outside space is wonderful. Staff are very friendly and polite.
The pillows had an odd smell, they need to be either changed or washed more frequently.
We had travelled a long way to find we had been upgraded to a suite which was fantastic. Good breakfast choices.
No hot plates for fried breakfast !!
If I were a business traveller, then the conference facilities look superb Breakfast was delicious The staff were welcoming, helpful and professional
It's TOO big! Everywhere is a long walk. It's too focused on its corporate clients - I don't want two separate discos going on until 2.00am (that I'm not invited to!) The room was not as described. I booked a superior double described as a large room with a seating area. I got a small room without any seating area - it was very small, luckily it was at least in the quieter part of the hotel. If you are visiting Windsor, book nearer the town.
Nice location, lovely grounds at the front. I'm fairly confident if you were staying in the main part of the hotel you would have a better experience than we did.
What you see on arrival may very well not be what you get. We had a room in the extensive rear block of the hotel. It was like a forgotten world, there was litter, paths that had not been swept for ages, nettles growing in abundance in front of the windows, windows that had not been cleaned for quite some time. The room was dusty, behind the radiator was thick with dust and debris (we discovered this when trying to put the heating on) The heating is centrally operated so every room has heating when deemed necessary, whether the occupants want it or not. The paint was peeling off on the balcony. A definite air of neglect round there. Also there is only one pillow per bed.
unfriendly. shabby breakfast was cremated was expecting more room was very tired
