Central location. Cheerful staff
Lack of breakfast . Leak in bathroom through ceiling
Very near the railway station, and a short walk to the centre of town and buses to the villages. Good price for Oxford if you only want the basics.
Just be aware of the check-in times, and no breakfast.
~ We were able to leave our bags between check in/out times. Very helpful! ~Good shower ~Bright airy room ~Flat screen tv that worked ~Good size room ~Very Central, easy walk to all central points of interest including the Pitt Museum - A MUST VISIT!!
~for the price I would expect to get a cooked breakfast. No breakfast included.
This was a very convenient location close to the station and easy to find and within easy walking distance of the centre. The room had a delightful outlook on greenery and back gardens and the room was very quiet.
No breakfast was a shame but easy enough to find some nearby.
Good location near railway station. Reasonably quiet despite proximity to nightclubs.
Room was cold. Metal lino seal on floor by shower was loose, would have been easy to cut foot on it. No breakfast. Very shabby.
No breakfast Unfinished disgusting bathroom Bad... In general
Location, one minute walk from train and ive minutes from the bars and restaurants of town. Staff were very friendly and helpful (allowed my sister to check in early as she had just arrived after a long flight and they let us leave our bags after we checked out so that we did not have to drag them around town). the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
You souldn't stay here if you are concerned about having a stylish room! Decoration is old fashioned and worn, but still functional. The bathroom was a squeeze but had the necessities. Generally what you would expect from a budged guest house.
They decided not to serve breakfasts to thier guest and put a very small nor on a bulletion board saying this, although when you book your reservation,it is promised.
Location - 100 yards from train station. Very close to center of Oxford. Was inexpensive for Oxford. Parking can be a challenge, we used the commuter lot, 1 mile away. You risk the train station lot with a cheap 1 way train ticket.
Wifi was very patchy. A little rough around the edges
Pretty good location, just next to the train station and easy bus links
Location was good
Everything else for the price that I paid I normally have a clean and confortable room and a decent breakfast. I didnt have none of these in there. Checking in and out are restricted and they doesnt accept Amex but dont tell you in advance, just reject the booking after is done and confirmed. They just take your money in advance and they dont give you anything in return. To run a bussiness you have to be involved a little.
Staff attitude towards my visitors while I was staying at the hotel. My friend came to give me a lift in the morning and the owner was accusing us of both staying in the room the previous night when we both hadn't. I returned to my room at 5am in the morning. I think they need to be more civil and control their temper and stop accusing visitors of doing things they haven't done. It's embarrassing and awful service. I will not be booking this place again and certainly not recommending it to anyone.
B&B, no breakfast?? very basic
Friendly and kind reception
It was a good location for visiting, going out and shopping in Oxford.
I stayed in the single room that has seen better days. Peeling painting, peeling wallpaper, losened screw on the door... It was adequate for 1 night and it was cheaper than the average Oxford accommodation.
I really liked the location (very central between the train/bus and city), and most of all the people- very helpful and nice.
The booking.com as well as the names lists the Becket Guest House as a B&B, but there is no breakfast. Nothing bad, just confusing.
Great location if you want to be near the train station.
Museums were a 10 minute walk away, it was so nice not to have to catch a bus or taxi. The lady who greeted us was very nice, our room was quite clean although basic and the bed was comfy. The shared bath is very small but had a great showerhead and plenty of water pressure. If you want to experience Oxford on the cheap, definitely stay here.
Our room on the top floor was pretty darn hot, I would have loved a fan if AC can't be done.
Comfortable, clean room.
Marie was extremely friendly and helpful, a lovely spot and close to town
Hard to fault .. the shared shower and toilet down the stairs from the top floor might both some people, but definitely good value.
great location, within walking distance of the shops and bars
Hosts stayed up late to welcome on arrival.
Near to my business.
Location and helpful staff
No decaf drinks
The Lady was lovely and very helpful to us. The rooms were perfect and the location was ideal. We'll be staying here again!
