The Beckett is very well situated for the centre of York. Parking was excellent and the rooms were ideal as there was three of us and we had adjoining rooms. The twin room was a little cold. |

Location & breakfast. Whole facility is very tired, & is in need of total refurbishing. Bed linen was worn through.ie holes. Towels frayed & not changed daily. Am. Ex. not accepted. |

The location, the breakfast, free parking and the warm welcome from Melissa on arrival, and throughout our stay. She was very helpful with plenty of knowledge on the local area. She was also able to recommend places of interest and restaurants. The room and en-suite were a little small, but not a problem if you are average sized like us. The house and room were very much clean on the surface, if you looked a little deeper then things were not always immaculate, however this was simply things like the shower fan being a little dusty etc. Nothing major at all and it certainly didn't affect the enjoyment of our stay. We were happy overall with the cleanliness of the house. It's not a luxury hotel (and it doesn't claim to be) but it is ideal and we would highly recommend it for a city break in York, particularly because of it's fab location, breakfast, warm welcome and parking. |

The convenient location which was peaceful and relaxing. Also the breakfast was good Did not like the long climb to the attic bedroom. Obviously this room is the last one to be rented out due to the nature of the room. Also there is 50 stepts up to that room |

Close to the city centre only a few minutes walk. Free parking at the hotel which is great as parking in York is very expensive. Great breakfast, would stay at the guest house again. |

The staff were absolutely lovely, and the hotel itself is in an excellent location, ten minutes walk from the minster. Breakfast is lovely, and the room, although on the small side is perfectly decent for the money paid. |

the staff were friendly and helpful. It was great for york centre/sight seeing, which is only 5mins walk away from the guest house. the breakfast was lovely, they accommodated for my special diet! |

Greeting was very good and information about York was likewise. The food was excellent and worth another visit! We were offered the family room at the top of the house this was not a problem, however the decor and paintwork in the bathroom was very poor and there were holes in the walls. The shower was very poor, this area especially needs attention and the bedding needs changing. |

La dueña , Melissa, es muy amable. Ella vivio en España y habla español. Te ayuda y te informa de todo lo que puedes hacer en la ciudad y esta muy pendiente de sus huespedes. El desayuno que prepara es el tipico tradicional ingles, Todo un placer para nosotros. Recomendado para españoles, ya que Melisa nos entiende muy bienl. |
