The host family is warm-hearted and kind. They help clean the room everyday. The washroom is quite big and there are plenty room for storing luggage.

We liked everything! We especially like the proprietors, Jennifer & Andy Yates. Warm and friendly. Accessible and around. The room was spotless. Loved the bathroom and the view outside the window. A warm and cozey place. The breakfast was the best ever, a large English Breakfast with many options. Delicious. The place was quiet, too. Wished we had not booked another place further in advance because we wanted to stay there and we will stay there again. Nice people, great spot and great service centrally located and in walking distance to the train -15 to twenty minute walk. Close to the delightful library, too.

Location was excellent a easy stroll to town. Jenny and Andy so helpful and friendly. Huge breakfast excellent pillows and the best shower so far in the uk.

I had stayed at Beckside Cottage on a number of occasions - but returned for the first time in seven years. The present owners have been there for five years. Jenny and Andy are both extremely nice - and will do everything possible to make your stay special. The ensuite rooms are nice - and the breakfasts are exceptional, with a variety of choice. Jenny was more than happy to give me breakfast half an hour earlier than advertised. There is private, off road parking too. Very highly recommended :-)
