Relaxed, trusting atmosphere. Character of rooms. Overall feeling. Although quality of ingredients was excellent, on all three days breakfast could have been better. Various reasons on different days.

Very friendly and personal. Very comfortable. Anna was very friendly and made a huge effort to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything that we needed. We liked the room as the children were with us in the family room. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay; thank you for your hospitality.

Anna, the proprieteress was most helpful in aallowing for early check-in and also helpful in suggesting what to do in Cambridge. We felt like a family with her and my wife loved the decor of the cottage which was tastfully done. Most deserving of the 4 stars rating. None.

Most important, I was impressed with the immaculate neatness and cleanliness of the lodging. It was spotlessly clean. Second, the innkeeper, Anna, was very efficient and helpful in every way. She is strict with guests on the observation of house rules but I do understand a business owner has to exercise discipline to run a successful business. It is this discipline that enables her to provide her guests with a comfortable environment. But Anna does, at the same time, do her best to accommodate personal requests. Overall, she's a very well balanced person. Anna is also a good conversationalist. She does try to get the guests to meet each other and chat at the breakfast table. She's lovely with kids. We were a family of four, including two young kids. The room she gave us was PERFECT for such a family. The room included board games and toys. I will stay here again. The family room we had didn't have attached bathroom. The bathroom was one level down. It's a bit tough when you have kids. But, overall, my wife and kids liked the room very much. We got it at a very good price. Therefore, I can't complain.

Friendly owner, Large, clean, modern room (we stayed at the Africa twin room), good shower, good breakfast. No issue for us, but it is about 15 min. walk to town center (or 5 min. drive). We did enjoy the hike since it is on nice gounds, over the river.

Anna is a good host. She takes care of the details to make your stay very convenient and comfortable. The rooms are neat and clean... And we enjoyed staying in the African room which was nicely decorated and comfortably large. I'd recommend staying at b&b FiftyOne.

Comfortable and convenient. Close to a nice evening walk and not too far out from the city centre. Everything was to our liking and we enjoyed our stay. Plain coffee (other than packet capacinno) in the room and better signage out front of the building would be nice additional touches. But these are only minor in the scheme of things. Very satisfied with our stay.

Room was clean, and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. We booked two months in advance; just a couple of days before our stay the owner contacted us saying that we couldn't have the family room we'd booked "due to an administrative error". Despite entering 2 adults + 2 children on booking.com, the proprietor seemed to be unaware we had children with us until we were sorting out the administrative error. The subsequent renegotiation about price had an acrimonious undertone which I found unpleasant, having booked in good faith. We paid £25 for a full English breakfast. Wouldn't rate it as good value in terms of either quality or quantity.

We had the family room as it was the only one available which was an excellent room for a couple with 2 children as it was well stocked with books and games. There was an excellent king sized bed an d large bunk beds and the furnishings were of a high standard. However It did not have ensuite facilities aand a trip was needed downstairs to the bathroom. When we booked the accomodation the website said that there were bathrooms which I understood meant they were en suite or I would not have booked. As someone with a prostate problem one does not want to have to make many nightime journeys to a downstairs loo! Not being aware when booking that the room booked was not ensuite. Having to pay a 50% deposit upfront and to be asked to pay the balance on arrival in cash. I have never been asked for this before. When I asked if I could pay by card I was told I could but I would have to pay an extra 10%. I was also asked if a continental breakfast would be alright. I think one should be asked whether one requires an English breakfast or Continental rather than be pushed into the latter which I appreciate is far easier for the proprietor to do..
