Bedford Hotel  

not much to say really, it was a place to sleep!

The hotel isnt anything like the pictures on the website, it is quite run down and dated, the room we were in was out the back and very dark and dingy, it needs a complete make over. It was quite dirty too, although to be fair the cleaners do come in every morning. Also the breakfast slot for having breakfast doesnt give you much leeway, 8.30-9.30 and it doesnt seem very organised, the staff take one order from a table and then go in to the kitchen, instead of taking a few orders at a time, but the food was quite good and the staff pleasant.

Hotel Staff very helpful & on reception was very welcoming. I am going to book again for next March 2013.

Great welcome, we had booked a double room, I asked if we could have a sea view & we were upgraded, with no hassle & no extra charge, to a family room looking directly over the beach! Bar, swimming pool & breakfast far outstripped our expectations. Great atmosphere & overall a very pleasant place for a break. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Bedford Hotel to anyone.

If I was forced to make a negative comment on anything I suppose our room was a little too warm for our liking but would probably suit the majority of people (eaily resolved though, I just turned the radiators off & opened the window).

The Pool

Room Too Small and draughty. Decor in need of modernisation. Some furnishings in bedroom in need of updating (Wardrobe). Breakfast small and basic (wasnt asked about different types of breakfast). Jacuzzi limited times only not 8am - 8pm as stated

Room was clean. The Hotel is near to the nightlife. Breakfast was very nice. No complaints, would stay again.

We rang to ask if we could store our cases to be informed our room was actually ready and we could book in early, we were delighted.... We arrived to a very warm welcome. The room was dated but extremely clean and comfortable, the staff were excellent and very helpful. It has a nice swimming pool . Our only let down was late evening we went down to the bar, although nice bar area the bar man was more interested in watching the Soaps on the TV which was too loud so we took our drinks to our room as we do not really watch much TV

Very clean and comfortable very nice staff..

We originally booked a 2 night stay at the Bedford hotel, we arrived and were given a sea view room at no extra cost, the room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel staff especially the gentleman wearing a white shirt who I presume is the hotel manager\owner was extremely helpful, polite and accommodating, he made us feel really welcome. We made use of the pool and sauna facilities which again were included in the price which for 25 per night was great! Breakfast was also included which again was lovely. The location was perfect as was only a short walk to the bars and restaurants in the city centre so no need for taxis. We enjoyed the whole experience so much that we asked to stay another night and were given the same great rate that we booked at originally! Over all a great trip!
