If there was anything bad about Bedford Lodge we did not find it. On arriving we drove into the immaculatley kept grounds that had colourfull displays of flowers. On booking in the receptionist was very helpful & friendly & even though we were early sorting out our room straight away was not a problem which was refreshing & a pleasant change from other places we had stayed at. After checking in we had a light lunch which was very good with pleasant service. The purpose of our visit was to attend the horse racing meeting with Tom Jones singing afterwards so as you can imagine the hotel was full but the level of service never wavered. The room was very good in all respects with everything working. Bed was comfortable to give a good nights sleep. Next morning we had breakfast which was excellant with a friendly & efficient team serving. This hotel gave a very good overall experience.

We were part of a large Birthday party, the staff were most attentive to the whole group. We were fortunate to hit on the warmest earliest day of the year, the staff quickly and efficiently prepared the garden area for our use, which really added to our enjoyment of the day. Food was excellent. Would recommend this hotel.

We ate in your Restaurant and choose from your Set Menu. The courses were excellently cooked and beautifully presented. We regulalrly go to France - where it is easy to dine on beautifully presented fresh food at a reasonable price. Your excellent standard of cuisine is easily on a par with our French experiences. The breakfast we had was also of an exceptional high standard - from the beautifully prepared fresh fruits - to the superb cooked English breakfast! We have found that many Hotels badly let themselves down with breakfast. We found all of your staff very polite, cheerful and responsive. Despite the refurbishments taking place - we greatly enjoyed our stay at the Bedford Lodge Hotel and will certainly aim to visit you in the future. Thank you

We have stayed before and enjoy the location and friendly staff. Food is excellent also but portion size can be a little small. This is in the restaurant as the room service food was not great - toasted pannins! As we were travelling as a couple it would have been nice to have two dressing gowns in the room and a little more bottled water. We look forward to returning when the building works are complete!

I really enjoyed my stay we had the executive suite and they left lovely complementaries to go with it except I was disgusted when the room service came up from the Orangery Restaurant, it was over priced and certainly over rated, everything except the toast from the morning breakfast was microwaved, we also had nachos for started and the sour cream was obviously off as well as my yogurt in the morning. My overall opinion was the hotel was superb but the restaurant was it's Achilles heel.

Outstanding hotel, all staff were friendly and very helpful at all times. Breakfast was excellent with an extensive choice. Stayed over Christmas and had a wonderful time. We overlooked the stables, and could see the horses every morning. The room was exceptionally clean, and comfortable with all amenities. Will definitely be staying again. Leisure facilities were very good with swimming and sauna a must.

The hotel was chosen for location and access to main road. It is in a lovely setting and we had a most comfortable and relaxing stay. All staff were very accommodating and our room was clean, comfrotable and tastefully decorated. We decided to eat in the hotel and the food was lovely and special diets well-catered for. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. All in all a perfect place to stay for both romantic or business.trip.

Exceptionally good. Rooms were flawless; restaurant dinner was extremely good, imaginative with high-quality ingredients; best of all were the staff every one of whom was friendly, charming, efficient and attentive. One of the best hotel stays we've ever had. I'll be looking for reasons to return to Newmarket and would recommend highly.

I was very satisfied with my stay in the hotel, particularly the very helpful, polite and pleasant staff. The Spa was excellent. My only complaint is that the restaurant was closed and nobody explained that until I attempted to find it. Having booked on line it would have been simple to advise in advance or when we booked in, Reception might have mentioned it.

Friendly staff with excellent facilities including restaurant and food. Slight critism would be no internal access to leisure centre from within hotel, Had to access leisure centre via going outside. Bar area quite small.

The staff were very helpful and efficient in organising our party of 25 for dinner, several staying overnight as well. Lovely hotel, decor and spacious grounds. Nice and quiet at night. Very comfortable and we shall all definitely return. We were surprised at being unable to watch the tv Racing Channel - in Newmarket!

We were welcomed with a professional approach and felt the staff on Reception were exceptionally helpful. We were not from the area and they gave us some great pointers on places to visit and also directions to and from the hotel. Our stay was second to none and it was great to feel at home. the food in the Bar was great value for money. The leisure facilities had everything you needed and it was not busy at all. I would certainly stay at this hotel again. Recommended highly. Steve Kelly

Originally booked for my wife and I. A change of plan meant we also had our 2 year old daughter with us. Upon checking in, the girl, without being asked upgraded us to a mini-suite with separate living area and bedroom which suited us perfectly. Gorgeous surroundings (helped by the excellent weather), nice clean rooms and superb breakfast included. Highly recommended.

Staff were super friendly and attentive. Food was great even though catering for a function of over 30 persons. White painted bedroom doors and cracked/missing grouting in bathroom let the establishment down.
