Friendly, clean, excellent breakfast, v helpful hosts

Steep climb from station....we knew that, so ok. Not so good if you're not expecting it.

There is a fabulous personal service and warm welcome.Like visiting an old friend. The place is very stylish but homely at the same time. I would not hesitate to recommend staying there.

Great breakfast (we had the full Cumbrian!) beautiful details in the rooms such as bath salts and even a complimentary decanter of port! Luxurious yet humble.

Very Clean and tidy On a main road so easy access to m6 and Lake district Room had good choice of refreshments including hot chocolate as I dont drink tea or coffee that was a nice suprise Very nice couple with good local knowledge and very helpfull with directions and places to visit Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice of food

Very small bathroom - no bath Very soft mattress in room 4 and a very wobbley bed - when either of us moved slightly the whole bed shook On arrival we could not contact the couple - we wanted to put a parking permit in the car but could not find it - however the following morning at breakfast they said that they had been out with friends and that they had been out of range for their mobile to work (however they didn't know they were out of signal until we spoke to them the next day at breakfast) so that was why we could not get in touch! Just one of those situations which occur every now and then

The owner went the extra mile to help us with printing off some pictures for us to present at a meeting at no extra charge. The breakfast was outstandingly good and beautifully presented.

The Breakfasts were great, staff were friendly and the rooms were better than we expected.

The home offers a very personal service. The location was very convenient. The room was to an excellent standard and very comfortable. Very pleased with the whole experience.

The room was very cozy and clean. We where made to feel welcomethe moment we arrived. Also the breakfast was excellent many choices u could of had.

I really couldn't get over how amazing this place was!! Affordable, clean, homely, luxurious... The list is endless- an excellent hotel!! We had the most fantastic weekend :)

The only thing I can think of was the WiFi dropped out occasionally... But who goes to the Lake District to sit in the room on the Internet??!!

Very friendly, comfortable and perfectly placed for enjoying what we wanted to do in Kendal over New Year I e walk to shops, Paulo Giannis restaurant, castle at midnight and 150metres to good local real ale pub. Excellent walking around Kendal tops. Brilliant breakfast. A really nice stay.

Its location. Off street parking. Lovely room, wifi everywhere, good breakfast and relaxed staff.

Room was comfortable, clean & well presented; toiletries & decent hair drier provided.. Plenty of power points & wifi available. Great choice for breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Alcohol & treats available at extra cost but tea/ coffee in room. Will use again, thanks

First time in Kendal and a great place to stay and visit the lakes, the accommodation was second to none, breakfast excellent and would not hesitate in using this facility over and over again. Thank you Hilary regards John and Gina - West Yorkshire

Friendly welcome, equisitely designed bedrooms, relaxing and full of your home comforts

We really enjoyed our stay at the Beech House, our room was beautiful, very clean and well equipped, (the whole hotel was extreamly clean with lovely decor.) The view from our room was lovely and we slept well in a very comfortable bed. The Beech House had a calm relaxed feel to it and was made very welcome. At breakfast we had plenty of variety and the food was very good. I would defiantly recommend this b&b to others, and would return again if I was in the area.

Excellent attention to detail

Great stay. Comfortable, clean, great breakfast.

The proprietors, Phillip and Hilary, are very gracious and welcoming people who want their guests to feel at home and be comfortable. We had the Penthouse room which was extremely comfortable and very beautiful. The breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere on our holiday. The centre of town is a five minute walk down a steep road and there are some excellent restaurants, such as New moon, where we ate, to be found there. Kendal itself is a very good shopping town as well as being beauitiful and very interesting. This is definitely a place we would love to return to and we would highly recommend it.

The owner was very friendly and could cook an excellent breakfast. Our room "the penthouse" was great and would recommend staying at Beech House.
