Everything about Beech House was excellent. The breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and arrived lovely and hot. Our hostess Hilary is a delight. Always a smile and nothing was too much trouble. There is nothing not to like

Simply superb interior deco, shower area. So comfortable we were definitely reluctant to have to leave to do what we had planned to do around the Lakes area. We will certainly come again. Wi-fi access was a bit of a problem even with range extenders installed upstairs unless you were in a particular corner in our room. Worked better in the morning, presumably when less people were using it?

More or less everything ! excellent breakfast and accomodation in lovely area and owners were really helpful with where to go for food etc-will recommend seating arrangement at breakfast, would not have liked to have sat with other guests on the same table! It helped us with the set times for breakfast though and thankfully did not really affect us!

A lot of thought had gone into the facilities, decor and information provided. A very good overnight stay. From the road it is easy to confuse Beech House with the house next door (and we did!). Not easy to think of a solution. The existing signage is clear enough on careful inspection but the weary traveller, happy to have arrived and looking from the car might need something that smacks between the eyes unambiguouisly.

Very Clean and tidy On a main road so easy access to m6 and Lake district Room had good choice of refreshments including hot chocolate as I dont drink tea or coffee that was a nice suprise Very nice couple with good local knowledge and very helpfull with directions and places to visit Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice of food Very small bathroom - no bath Very soft mattress in room 4 and a very wobbley bed - when either of us moved slightly the whole bed shook On arrival we could not contact the couple - we wanted to put a parking permit in the car but could not find it - however the following morning at breakfast they said that they had been out with friends and that they had been out of range for their mobile to work (however they didn't know they were out of signal until we spoke to them the next day at breakfast) so that was why we could not get in touch! Just one of those situations which occur every now and then

I really couldn't get over how amazing this place was!! Affordable, clean, homely, luxurious... The list is endless- an excellent hotel!! We had the most fantastic weekend :) The only thing I can think of was the WiFi dropped out occasionally... But who goes to the Lake District to sit in the room on the Internet??!!

Very friendly, comfortable and perfectly placed for enjoying what we wanted to do in Kendal over New Year I e walk to shops, Paulo Giannis restaurant, castle at midnight and 150metres to good local real ale pub. Excellent walking around Kendal tops. Brilliant breakfast. A really nice stay. There was nothing to dislike.
